Okay, Ladies, Now Let’s Get In Formation
These organisms either slay you or get you in formation
In Uteuzi wa Moyoni, the author mentions that women are their worst enemies.
Sampled as a short story in the book Mayai Waziri wa Maradhi, this is the first narrative that chronicles a woman vying for a political seat but discovers she must overcome societal norms to prove to the public that she can emerge victorious and bring meaningful change to her community. Notably, the comment about women being their own worst enemies comes from another woman.
I’ve previously heard similar sentiments from other women. For instance, in events, women wearing the same outfit might lash out at each other, given the chance. Men, in contrast, may make a new friend.
Nevertheless, the kind of organisms I want to talk about don’t follow such trends. They set their own rules. Humans later discovered them long after they had already executed their moves. Naturalita, they need extra coercion to reveal their secrets.
Extensive studies have been conducted on them since the 1930s. The evolution of these studies reveals that we are just beginning to appreciate how they can impact our overall health, especially in infectious diseases. But first, we have to explain why the focus is on ladies.
