Heading to Nancy!

For me, Nancy is a city of great contrasts. I love visiting it and enjoying the diversity of this beautiful city.

I don't idealize this city. I can see its shortcomings. Nevertheless, Nancy remains our main candidate for a move over the next few years.

Not because it's a perfect city, but because it could probably offer us the kind of lifestyle we're used to. It's a reasonable compromise.

Another advantage is that there are direct trains from Bar-le-Duc, and the journey takes an hour or a little longer. This means I can comfortably explore the apartments available to us.

A year ago, we viewed two small apartments in the city centre. One was very cosy and located in a nice building, but it was too small.

The second apartment was larger and situated in a charming old building. However, both the building and the apartment were not in the best condition. The windows faced a busy street.

Nevertheless, we were captivated by the atmosphere of these buildings, their inner courtyards, and the old apartments with fireplaces, ornate plasterwork and wrought-iron window grilles.

In the end, we found an apartment in Bar-le-Duc in May. It's cosy and conveniently located. However, there are a number of problems here, too. So this is just a lengthy stop along our difficult journey.
