From pinterest.com, the work of avant garde artist Banksy circa 2013:

More evidence of the world mental health crisis. Headline from nypost.com: “Anti-Iranian regime protester pummeled at deluded NYC vigil for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.” So they support the oppression of women, throwing gays off rooftops, and the sponsorship of terror? Well, the last one doesn’t surprise me. I’m sure they would cheer the murder of conservatives in the USA. Luigi is one their heros.

From NYP: “Private eye: Mamdani makes far-fetched argument to downplay NYC first lady’s ‘likes’ of graphic Oct. 7 massacre Instagram post.” One-third of Jewish NYC voters voted for him.

Common sense. From NYP: “Reopening Indian Point nuclear plant will fix NY’s surging energy costs, Lawler and Trump energy secretary tell Hochul.”

Another blow to Republican hopes for the midterms. Headline from newsmax.com: “Employers Cut 92K Jobs, Unemployment Now 4.4%.”

Headline from foxnews.com: “Gifted program axing in NYC backfires as families abandon public schools.”

From FN: “NPR reporter stunned by Venezuela visit, locals say ‘a weight has been lifted’ after Maduro.”

Can anything be done to mend major college sports? Are any campus athletes but the most ballyhooed being paid? Will resentment lead others to fix games in order to get compensation? Since some are there only to play sports, will they have any allegiance to anything but themselves?

The temperature was a bit higher, but conditions were still icky at the Anti-Inflation Book Shop. My thanks to local porter Ray, who donated five brand new sweaters, and to the woman who bought three; and to Occupy Jack, who purchased two more Russian CDs; and to the gentleman who pounced on 100 Years of the World Series: 1903–2003 by Eric Enders ; and to Jay, who took home a Scorpions CD.
