Lucky Day
Today was a great day. Not one particular event occurred but reflecting on the day made me feel extra happy. And lucky of course. Today was so good that I felt the need to record the day in place such as this.

Mid 30s mom of 2. Typical day at home with the kids. Stay at home mom it’s the end of summer break and we had a chill day at home. My grandma called me twice and one of the times I could hear my grandpa in the background talking. My mom answered the phone when I called to make plans. I texted a childhood friend happy birthday. A good friend sent me a birthday invite in the mail to her party. Incredible I still get those at my age and it’s not just a text or a FB invite. I ate dinner on the patio and tossed my eaten corn on the cob cob in the fully grown up corn field surrounding the house. I listened to music while my kids swam 80 percent of the day today. They told me they loved me before bed and still want hugs and kisses. My husband is changing the oil in my car tomorrow. He told me good night and we said our typical I love yous. All these normal things today made me realize how great life is and I get to be apart of so many peoples lives. I get to talk to family. Tomorrow is a new day and no plans are set but this little life of mine today made me so incredibly lucky. So lucky I felt the need it needed a permanent spot in the clouds.
