I Will Never Get Tired of Choosing My Own Font
It’s one of the funnest things I get to do as a self-published author
In the late 1920s, Nellie Verne Burt McPherson, president of the Illinois Women’s Club, sent fan mail to an author and subsequently decided there oughta be an Author’s Day. Why? Because authors are the shit. We are the bomb. We are that’s what I’m talking about.
In 1949, for anyone who cares, the U.S. Commerce Department recognized National Author’s Day. It’s November 1.
Though I’m not physically in the United States, I intend to celebrate, and so can you.
Hashtag #NationalAuthorsDay.
Writers: How to Celebrate Author’s Day
As a writer, I’m celebrating by picking a cool font for my writing. I deserve it.
All you writer friends at home can pick your own cool fonts too.
