Balance integrates with Blockdaemon to expand access to institutional staking
Balance is pleased to announce the integration of Blockdaemon, a leading U.S. headquartered institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure company, as a third-party staking service provider within its custody platform. The integration enables eligible institutional clients to stake a broad range of digital assets through Blockdaemon, without relinquishing legal title or departing from established compliant workflows.
Clients can now stake Ethereum, Solana, and other digital assets supported by Blockdaemon, subject to Blockdaemon’s historical validator performance and infrastructure SLA, while maintaining title and control throughout the entire lifecycle, by using segregated custody wallets at Balance. Staking, unstaking, and reward withdrawals can be performed directly from Balance’s web UI and APIs, with streamlined reporting and audit support provided, in alignment with institutional governance standards and risk procedures.
Clients engage Blockdaemon directly under separate agreements and directly receive staking rewards to their wallets in Balance’s custody, subject to the terms agreed between the client and Blockdaemon. Balance does not take any fee from the rewards as a percentage of yield.
“Institutions need secure, scalable ways to participate in staking. By integrating with Blockdaemon, we’re extending those capabilities inside our custody platform, giving clients the freedom to engage with staking service providers on their own terms,” said George Bordianu, co-founder and CEO at Balance.

“Balance’s integration reflects the evolving maturity of institutional staking. Our goal has always been to deliver high-performance validation with rigorous uptime and governance. Now, institutions can access this directly through a trusted custody environment,” said Konstantin Richter, Founder and CEO at Blockdaemon.
Staking via Blockdaemon is available immediately to eligible clients, subject to onboarding and jurisdictional requirements. Balance’s role is exclusively that of a custodian. We do not facilitate staking outcomes, guarantee performance, or take any fees or percentage of staking yield.
Clients are solely responsible for all staking decisions and third-party service provider selection, and bear all risks for the activity, including risks related to protocol design, slashing, smart contracts, or network volatility. Any pricing, discounts, or promotional terms are determined and administered solely by Blockdaemon, under separate agreements with their clients.
