Balance — Product Release Notes: January 2026
We’re glad to say that in January, we’ve successfully completed our SOC 1 Type 2 examination, which evaluated the operating effectiveness of Balance’s internal controls over financial reporting for clients and other user entities. If you would like a copy of the full report, please email compliance@balance.ca.
On the product side, following the holiday shutdown, the team delivered a set of UI, performance, and infrastructure improvements to our web platform, ahead of sprinting on major new upcoming functionality like WalletConnect support.

Here are the highlights of our work this past month, during which we:
- Redesigned the
Transaction Detailspage. We’ve overhauled the UI/UX of one of the most visited pages on our platform, which now displays transaction hashes inline, separates system notes for user generated notes, and features a chronological log of key transaction events such as creation, approval, and broadcast. - Introduced a UI control for filtering
Transactionsby value. To make it easier to find the transactions you’re looking for, we’ve added a histogram view in theValuefilter, showing transaction frequency, as well as minimum and maximum values. - Added wallet addresses to the
Per-Wallet Statements. We’ve included public addresses or master public keys (where applicable) in theAUC Per-Wallet Daily Summarystatement generated each month, to make on-chain auditing and reconciliation easier. - Updated the off-chain balances UI. Wallets with unreconciled off-chain withdrawals now display negative off-chain balances where applicable, providing clearer visibility into how upcoming on-chain reconciliations will affect such balances.
- Improved performance and reliability across key workflows. Updates addressed latency and UI issues affecting
Transaction Templates, network fee estimation routines,Filecoin (FIL)sector termination flows, theTransactionsactivity CSV report, and more. - [Redacted]
