We recently hosted an AMA with My DeFi Pet. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this post will be a time saver & a feeder of knowledge for everyone.

I’m Amy Nguyen, Crypto Business Development Manager at My Defi Pet.
Before working for My DeFi Pet team — KardiaChain Foundation, I have more than three years experience in banking industry & education services.
Fortunately, I’m inspired to be an independent crypto researcher from my former professors.
I have a belief that crypto is a future financial system, therefore, I accepted the offer working for KardiaChain Foundation

I was marketing leader for many academic financial foundation for student in RMIT University. The university also has many courses such cryptofinance, blockchain and so on which become pioneer in the industry in my country

Please give us a brief introduction about your project. When did you start this project, what’s your main goal?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
Well “My DeFi Pet” launching on 14th May, 2021 is the initiative for our vision of a mass-adoption blockchain game.
The name encompasses the three characteristics of the game: “Pet” raising game, with “DeFi” features integrated, and “My” personalisation.
My DeFi Pet’s long-term goal is to capture the gamers market in as many countries as possible.
In the Play2Earn section, it is divided into two types: those who work to get tokens and spend money to buy tokens to make game characters stronger.
This is the direction that My DeFi Pet will follow and design Play2Earn features appropriately. And of course, there will be game content in depth like the traditional games you often play.

What is the theme and gameplay?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
My DeFi Pet brings traditional game experiences and DeFi features to NFT collectibles.
Players can collect, breed/trade monsters, battle and participate in events to claim lucrative prizes up to 100,000 USDT per season.
Monster growth is influenced by bonus points obtained from your daily activities .
Have you guys try playing the game yet?
It’s still early to join since we about to release new game-in function this week. You can play via https://mydefipet.com/ with your PC, we don’t have mobile app yet
yes, no any games has this kind of unique personalize features because the pet genes depends on the way you breed and raise your pets

I read that there will be a new add on in the game called “Boss Fight”.
Can you tell us about that.
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
To win this Fight, Pet masters need to beat the boss at each level.
In the beginning, the boss is on the spaceship.
A suicide army of pets needs to sacrifice to destroy the boss’s ship to enter the boss fight starting at level 1.
Plus, pets in this stage do not need any condition check. 💪

What about the team, tell us about the team! How many core team members are there and any notable advisors? How many devs are there?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
Our team now have 31 employees in total
Game development got 15 developer, Business Development includes 4, Marketing team have 6 and Community Roles just hired new people with 6 members

Let’s dive into your product. Could you tell us more about your project? How will it help users to enjoy DeFi & NFT involvement and manage their Pets easily?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
So we are all aware that the main characters of the project are pets. Each pet has unique features and stats such as colour, shape, type, aura, mutation and rarity.
Users can collect pets by tributing DPET tokens at the alter.
Once the pets have been raised, they can evolve by being fed DPET tokens to unlock new appearances as well as features such as breeding, battle and staking.
With the pets being NFTs, users can also trade, lend and borrow their NFT pets with other players in upcoming NFT marketplaces.

But you mentioned about pets being sacrificed earlier.
What will happen to the tokens when they die ?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
The tokenomics in game is crucial but we always try to keep the game balance. The higher genes you have, the higher possibility of stronger monsters you own and it’s the tips to win
if your pets didn’t sacrifice and win the battle, don’t you think that pet will become more valuable?!
everyone will want to own the pet and trade for it

Can you tell us why you opted for BSC as well?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
My DeFi Pet is an NFT DeFi pet raising game on both KardiaChain and Binance Smart Chain. DPET is a project incubated and built by KardiaChain and developed by TopeBox, one of Vietnam’s leading game developers with over 100M downloads on the app store and Google play.
Although MDP is made by @KardiaChain and owned by $KAI team, we still want to explore and bring the project to users in different ecosystems such as BSC.
BSC is well-known in crypto world and of course, DPET holders and lovers can easily link to it
we also try to opt the best gas fees for users, but to compared with KardiaChain, we still have better lower gas fees than x 10,000 times

Please tell us about your token, what can users do with it? What are the utilities? What role does it play in the Crypto Ecosystem?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
In My DeFi Pet, the pets that users are raising are NFT themselves! When users buy an egg and hatch their pet, the game has minted that unique NFT.
which costs DPET
Users will be able to stake their NFT pets to receive more tokens with the staking & farming function released in KardiaChain ecosystem.
The project will not burn DPET tokens. Instead, the team will use the earnings from the egg sale to host events and give it back to the community.

At last, please tell us about your future goals and the roadmap ahead.
What are the major milestones that you are yet to achieve?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
In the remaining months of 2021, the project will release Marketplace and P2E features for you to both play games and earn. This is the project’s roadmap in 2021 and 2022.
There are many more features that will be released for users to play.
Specifically, in the half year of 2021, we will focus to release in-game features such as skill system, social system, PVP battle, new UI & UX and so on

You can playing by using a mobile device but still on websites. We have plan to release mobile app in Quarter 2 2022, stay tuned!

“What’s being done to drive global adoption of #MyDeFiPet amidst crypto regulations, legislation, and competition?” Yes we did won Top 1 finalists in theSuper Blockathon, Binance Vietnam; Top 20 Most Valuable Binance II (MVBII) projects ; Coingecko Top 1 trending for many weeks.
We have audit certificate of Solidiy Finance, and on the way to get 2 more outstanding audit teams to audit the game.

Staking programme is very important for any project, Can i stake your token? Do you have any plan of starting staking programme?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
As mentioned before, you can stake DPET in KardiaChain ecosystem. Regarding the future plan, the project is talking with many different exchanges to expand more liquidity pool for users to stake in diverse exchanges.

Mydefipet game is currently very hype in Southeast Asia, especially Vietnam and the Philippines. But have you planned to expand globally? What’s your plan?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
The European community has increased and become very promising at the moment, we’re planning to expand more in there

What kind of people are behind the ongoing success of My Defi Pet?What’s your game plan to ensure that My Defi Pet could become a long term project?
Amy | My DeFi Pet:
The factors deciding the project will last long or not depending on the business model. KardiaChain has discussed with our co-development team, Topebox that bringing My Defi Pet into a company itself to launch many thriving plans

Actually we have many plan to boost the game tokenomics, we research many ways, one of those is another in-game token for the gameplay utility and enhance the game equality. We want to make the game unique as its theme, hence, building construction in exchange for a relevant amount of diamonds or the new dpet coin quite potential
