Let me walk you through a normal Tuesday.
You wake up, make coffee, and go to work. You don’t open a chart. You don’t check the price.
At midnight UTC (early evening in North America), the Bitcoin daily candle closes. An hour later, Mainspring wakes up, pulls the closing price from Kraken, adds a new row to your price history, and recalculates the trend.
Nothing has changed. So it does nothing. It goes back to sleep.
That’s most days.
Quiet.
Boring.
Exactly how it should be.
And on the day the trend turns
Some evening, maybe weeks from now, maybe months, the fast average crosses the slow one.
Mainspring places the order on your own Kraken account. It writes a dated line in your trade log with the price. When you check your sheet the next morning, the trade is already done, recorded, and waiting for you to read.

The questions I keep getting
“Do I have to give someone my trading money?” No. Your trading investment stays in your own Kraken account. Mainspring is an independent spreadsheet in your google account that connects with a key you create, set to trade-only with withdrawals switched off. It can buy and sell, but it can never move funds out.
“Do I need to know how to code?” No. You copy it into a Google Sheet, paste in your key, and click a few menu items. The guide walks you through each step.
“What if I want to step in?” You can, anytime. There are buttons to buy or move to cash manually, and one click turns the automation off.
“Is it guaranteed to make money?” No, and be wary of anyone who says their system is. Mainspring follows the trend. It will have losing trades in sideways markets. Only use money you can afford to have at risk.
