KISS Principle in Android — Keep It Simple
Simple code is easier to understand, test, debug, and maintain.
Have you ever seen Android code that works perfectly but looks unnecessarily complicated?
That is where the KISS Principle helps.
KISS = Keep It Simple, Stupid
It means: Don’t make the code more complicated than necessary.
1. Problem
Imagine we only want to check whether a user is logged in.
But instead of a simple condition, we create multiple classes, functions, and unnecessary logic.
The code works — but it is difficult to understand.
2. Why Do We Need KISS?
In Android development, simple code gives us:
- Better readability
- Easier debugging
- Easier testing
- Faster development
- Easier code reviews
- Fewer bugs
- Easier maintenance
As a Senior Android Developer, writing code that other developers can easily understand is very important.
3. Bad Code ❌
