"The Bride – My Own Wedding” — poem 👰❤️

Today I take my marriage vows.
I love you, I loved you, and I always will.
I don’t limit myself just to dates and spending time together.
I like myself, I am falling in love with who I am,
I even accept my darker, overthinking side.
I will not whip my inner self, for I alone know how much I’ve survived.
I have closed the old chapters. A new one – begins.
I cannot stop, I cannot lock myself at home and hide,
I simply have to start to live. When I am not afraid to be alone;
No intrigue, manipulation, or thirst for my attention will scare me,
Nor will I accept any insult.
Let them talk, let them talk.
No one will shatter my balance anymore.
Be strong and have courage!
I appeal to you, girls and guys!
When the world is mediocre, and you think, and think...
How to please others?
How to find the right people, how to keep your dignity?
Stop overthinking and dwelling on it.
The one who is meant to be – will stay until the end of life,
And not just for laughs, intrigues, games, and spite. Friendship, love, affection – these are serious feelings,
You cannot gift them to a clown, to just anyone.
You wouldn’t feed a horse a piece of candy, after all.
It must be special, it must be real –
Not just crystal in its standards,
Wonder doesn’t fit into cheap plastics, stars, almonds, or firecrackers.
I am walking down the aisle with myself, a bride at my own wedding.
Who will join my team today?

Who will accept the scars on the body, in the heart, if not You?
Only You can do that.
Only You – can help yourself.
Only You, precisely You.
For someone to offer you a hand, you must ask for it yourself, or let yourself be pulled up.
I am not asking you to grasp this stable rope.
Yet, the wedding stance gives you a ticket to the inner team.

I’m celebrating as a bride, no obstacle stands in my way now.
I love you, I loved you, and I will love you.
My inner self, my soul, and every corner of my body.
I have nothing to reproach myself for, but this isn’t an unhealthy love.
I know my flaws and I love them constantly.
I wrapped the band-aids and wounds, my quiet strength walked to the altar.
How do you like it at the wedding?
How is the self-loving boy and the self-loving girl doing?
What a great team you make.
Love yourself and know your worth – don’t forget it.
You choose, you no longer have to take whatever fate throws at you.
Know that you are awesome – pure gold.
I am not satisfied with petty words, there must be actions backed by ideas.
I put an engagement ring and a wedding band on my finger.
I love myself, and my mental, overthinking crew,
Greetings to the team of readers.

Thanks for reading, Overthinking Girl.

" I feel, I taste, I hear, I see, I think..." ( poem ) 👃✋👅👂👀🧠 + EKSTRA SUPRISE 🌟

The senses. How beautiful it is to feel, to taste, to see, to hear, and to think. A human being is a magnificent entity; our very design is priceless—as beautiful as a sculpture of Apollo. Oh, how beautiful—truly beautiful—even if mortal! I count to three, and then I shall speak of the senses like a born poet and artist, one who fully embraces the gifts of nature. I am grateful for them; energy surges within me.

A scent. I catch the fragrance of flowers—a beautiful, sweeping expanse. Nature offers up wildflowers, while the ladies next door cultivate wonderful plants in their gardens, painting the world in a myriad of colors. They set up their "easels"—though in the form of garden hoes—weeding and tending to their flowerbeds, beginning the work of spring cleaning. At home, I am surrounded by the aroma of delicious cakes, soft, cloud-like confections, cream puffs, and cheesecakes, all prepared for a lovely gathering. Every sense is working intently. Spring! Spring! Welcome! I can smell your priceless, unforgettable fragrance. We are celebrating—yes, we are celebrating—as we welcome the arrival of a colorful spring. It whispers, it whispers, bestowing smiles of joy upon people. It senses a breeze—a breeze of fragrant labor, abundant, carefree, and playful.

Touch. I touch, I touch, I touch. I discover, I discover, I discover. Slowly, slowly, slowly. I touch the shrubs that have grown here, the heather; I lean against the bark of trees, feeling a strong bond with them. I shall embrace my loved ones, too. A rose—when I touch it, I feel its thorns. I examine—I also explore their structure—though it is an intense experience for me. I tread slowly through the beautiful spring. I run across the fields, carefree and joyful, like a child—momentarily charming and playful. I say this, then, without false modesty: nature is my paradise; it is what charts my path. It fully unfolds and sets free the joy within my mind. These are God’s beautiful miracles—I shall not forget them, even when I am old and somber, even when my skin has grown wrinkled and cracked, and even when my beauty has faded, when my figure—once slender and youthful—has vanished.

Sight. It envelops the shameful yet vivid darkness of my life. Thanks to my eyes, I can watch for birds—charming, beautiful sparrows, thrushes, and canaries. I can gaze upon their beauty and the hidden corners of their lives—their little nests, their entire world. And so, hand in hand with my sight, I venture forth, observing the people and the world around me.

Hearing. I hear, I hear, I hear the beautiful silence of the forest. I catch it all with my sense of hearing—with one ear, then the other. The melody—the forest’s melody—and its soft trills mean so much to me. I adore nature and the niches where animals dwell. I love to listen closely to its magical face.

Taste. After a walk, there’s nothing like enjoying delicious cakes and tea with a truly exquisite, wonderful aroma. Oh, my! Yum, yum! Spaghetti, the most marvelous noodles. Cucumber soup, perhaps a delectable borscht, or maybe tomato soup. My soul rejoices at the chance to savor such treats.

The mind directs it all, so I thank it for everything. Human autonomy is truly remarkable—that must be acknowledged. It is a beautiful thing to feel, think, taste, see, touch, breathe in fresh air, smell flowers, admire a lovely sight, reflect on life, or savor a piece of chocolate. I could go on, listing a delightful array of such experiences. Our senses are what make us human; they resonate like a beautiful, natural echo.

After the poem, there’s a surprise waiting for you—the one I mentioned in the title! 🎁💝 What is it? Let me tell you... It’s a set of delightful questions for your senses. 1) SIGHT. What is the most beautiful thing your eyes have ever seen? Perhaps it’s someone you love, a stunning view from your window, or something you’ve encountered at a cultural venue? 👀 (Haha, I’ll keep things mysterious for now—I’ll share my own answer once you’ve shared yours in the comments! I’d love to bring our community closer together.) 2) TOUCH. What is the most pleasant thing you’ve ever had the chance to touch? ✋ Maybe it’s a loved one, or perhaps the unique texture of a particular object? 3) TASTE. What is your favorite dish—something you’ve tasted that felt like "a little bit of heaven"? Do you enjoy trying new things, or are you a bit more hesitant and picky? What kind of interesting food do restaurants serve in your country? 👅🍒 Do you enjoy eating??? 4) HEARING. What sounds do you love, and which ones do you avoid? What kind of music is popular in your country? 👂🎶 Does anyone here sing or play an instrument? Do tell! I’d love to learn more about your habits and passions. 5) SENSE OF SMELL. What nice things have you had the chance to smell lately? Perhaps a lovely perfume you wear, the scent of nature, a delicious dinner, or something else entirely? 👃🪷 🍝6) It’s a special sense 😉 What do you think your own "sixth sense" is? I’ll reveal mine in the comments—if you’re curious to know, that is! And listen up, my dears: the most fun, creative, and engaged response under this post (or perhaps a few, if you really put in the effort!) will receive a prize and a stellar surprise from me 🌟😉 As for what it is? You’ll find out soon enough—a surprise has to remain a surprise, after all! Count to three, get comfortable, let your imagination run wild, and get involved in the conversation! 💝 I’d love for you to join in—especially if you enjoy the challenges I put together for you! 😁✨

THANKS FOR READING, OVERTHINKING GIRL 🩷.

"The human world: desires, aspirations, gratitude and dreams" – a writing challenge 🤍

Good morning, everyone! 😊 I’d like to invite you to take part in my latest challenge—one that requires a bit of activity from you in the comments section. Curious about what I’ve got in store this time? I’d love to have a casual, personal conversation with you all, to get to know you better—not just as creators, but as human beings. It’s a great opportunity to talk about things beyond just poetry. Of course, I’m already working on a new poem, but I think a short break from those deep, often melancholic pieces will do us all some good, at least for a little while! 😉 Expect plenty of laughter, perhaps a few surprises, and even moments where we might discover that we’re truly on the same wavelength. It’s all up to you! The challenge is simple: just answer a few lighthearted questions about everyday life in the comments. It’s a chance for us to have a chat, the kind I really enjoy having when I find the right person to talk to, whether among friends or family. Plus, you’ll get to see a completely different side of my personality—a side I usually only reveal to a select few, and only when I feel safe and comfortable with someone. So, get comfortable on the sofa or an armchair or simply lie down and relax 🤗 after all, a good, healthy rest is just as important. Make yourself at home on my profile; unwind, brew some coffee or tea, have a snack or a nourishing meal—just allow yourself a moment to relax. Are you ready? Shall we begin?

First, close your eyes, think about your dreams, and consider what you would like to do in the near future. Let go of the past for a moment and take a deep breath. Count to ten and name a few things you’re grateful for—especially if you have a difficult past or are going through a tough time right now. Optimism helps you see things from a different perspective. Even if things are going well for you, do this too. Self-therapy and personal growth are vital for your soul 🫶🫂. Remember to nurture your inner self, as your internal state shapes how you feel on the outside. Never neglect self-care, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day, and that’s all you can manage. Enjoy that moment. Embrace it fully, and never apologize for it 😁. Our topic today is desires, aspirations, gratitude and dreams. That’s what we’re focusing on today ❤️✨.

Let’s begin ❤️. Once you’re settled in comfortably, take a moment to think about your dreams. So, what do you dream of? To start things off, I’ll share a few of my own dreams: 1) I’ve always really wanted to fly in an airplane—I’ve never had the chance! I know there can be issues with air pressure, and I’m also afraid of heights, but I’d love to overcome that fear. Have you ever flown, or is it something you’re still dreaming about? Perhaps you could share some useful tips—like what’s worth packing for a trip abroad—or simply tell me what it’s actually like to fly? 😉 If you’d like to interact with me, I invite you to join the conversation; this challenge is a great opportunity for that! 2)Another dream of mine is to travel abroad—something I’ve already mentioned. Which countries would you recommend I visit? ;) 3) I’d also like to become an archivist (I’ve considered copywriting, too) or perhaps work in an office-based role. I’m working toward this by pursuing my studies and gaining various skills and knowledge. 😉 I’m looking for a stable career, and that’s something I could certainly balance with my passion for writing. Does anyone have any experience in these fields? 4) Another dream of mine is to live in a small town. I currently live in the countryside, but I’d like to change that to be closer to various places—a town offers more opportunities. What about you—do you prefer the city or the countryside? Or perhaps the suburbs? 🤍✨ 5) I think this is a dream for almost all of us—though, of course, some people are already in such a relationship, while others haven’t had the chance to experience it yet. I’m talking about a serious, committed relationship—no games, no "let’s just see where this goes" vibes, and definitely no one-night stands. ❤️😉 I’m a deep person, which is a rarity among young people today. I’d love to meet someone who complements me—someone with whom I could build a home and a family. He needs to be calm and stable, someone who can help soothe my tendency to overthink. I always say he also needs a good sense of humor; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to keep up with my expressive energy! ;) He should be a kind, sensitive, and thoughtful guy—perhaps an introvert like me—who understands me, just as I would understand and support him through both his struggles and his successes. Haha, and I also want to be the one to steer the ship! 😂 Like a woman taking the helm—even though I don’t necessarily have a "leader" personality. 😅😉 As for interests? It would be great if he shared my passion for the humanities, though I’d also be perfectly fine if he had his own separate world. Another thing: tolerance is key. He needs to accept my imperfections and limitations; I’m well aware that having a complex personality can be quite demanding. Sometimes I wonder if I’m even cut out for a relationship—but then again, that’s probably natural, given that I’ve never been in one before. Time will tell. Oh, and one more sweet detail: ❤️😂 it would be adorable if he were a bit endearingly clumsy—just like I can be sometimes! At the very least, he could keep me company when I’m feeling lost or can’t figure out how to do something. I think I’ll go for a phlegmatic type—since I’m one myself. Just imagine: the movements of elderly people trapped in the bodies of young folks who can’t really cook and end up ordering catering instead. Funny, right? They’re basically just kids—you know, you’ve just got to be able to laugh at yourself. 😅😂 I have this attitude—being a total lazybones! 😅😂🫶 We’ve got time; we’ll learn as we go, and at least we’ll be in it together. 😅 But in all seriousness, when I feel ready, I’d love to meet someone who could be my life partner. He needs to be a responsible, self-aware guy—someone capable of deeper thinking. That’s the foundation! 😉 There has to be closeness and a bond—primarily emotional, but physical too—hugs, kisses; that’s important as well. I dream of a relationship where we walk side by side, built on friendship and partnership—working together, solving problems, and supporting one another. To love each other truly and for the long haul, through thick and thin—because I still believe in true love, even though I know such cases are rare. Or rather, becoming increasingly rare. I don’t want to be with someone out of obligation, nor do I want to be with someone just to fill a void; I want someone who complements the person I am. I hope that one day my dream comes true—and that he, too, will be happy with me. ❤️ Maybe some of you are in a relationship like this, or perhaps someone has gone through a breakup and is having a tough time, or maybe someone is still searching for that one special person? ;) Though I do think that love tends to arrive naturally, just when we least expect it. That’s all for my dreams for now, though I would add one more—the most important one: to be healthy and live as long as possible 😉.

Now, think about things you would never, ever do—and list them. I have a few on my own list: 1) I would never, ever go bungee jumping or skydiving! I don’t think it’s just about fear; these kinds of challenges simply don’t suit my personality. Adrenaline? Not for me—at least, not in that way. I’d rather go to the gym than jump from such a dizzying height, risking my life just because someone might have failed to secure the equipment properly. Sure, those are isolated incidents, but I’m not willing to take that kind of risk. Would you have the courage to jump from such a height, or would you also lack the nerve? 2) I would never—even if it meant spending my very last cent—skimp on water. I can’t stand dirty people or unpleasant odors. I couldn’t survive without proper hygiene. A public service announcement: wash yourselves, or stay away! Please, bathe regularly—at least every two days—and do it properly. I have family members who smell like skunks! 😅😂 They actually show up at my grandmother’s house—and yes, they’re my own relatives. I don’t mean to offend them, but it’s the truth. Wash up, you stinky people! 🧼🛀 It doesn’t hurt! 3) I would never, ever work for the police. I just don’t have the heart for it. I don’t want to hand out fines for minor offenses, slap handcuffs on people, or take them to prison! And interrogations? No, no, no—not for anything in the world. Besides, police work is controversial—and in Poland, of all places? Ha, more serious situations are often overlooked, leading to accidents... while the police focus on trivial matters just to make money. It results in injustice... 4) I will never, ever change myself for the sake of others. I will remain who I am, no matter what, and I want someone in my life with whom I can truly be myself—without any guilt or self-consciousness. 5) Furthermore, I will never chase after others, seeking their attention, love, or friendship... When I invest myself in something, the other person must do the same. A relationship requires effort from both sides ;). 6) I will never knowingly hurt another human being. I have no desire to do so, and if it ever happens, I will apologize. And what about you—what are the things you would never do, not for all the treasure or money in the world ;)?

Gratitude. To wrap things up, take a moment to list the things you are grateful for—in the times we live in, it’s all too easy to forget about gratitude. Personally, I am grateful for: 1) having a home and a family 🏠👬👯🧓🤱. I’m aware that some people have neither, while others may have a family, but one that is unloving, dysfunctional, or even pathological. Sadly, there are also those who are homeless—having lost their homes for various reasons or having been forced out. 2) Being alive. We only get one life, and I try to enjoy it to the fullest. Can you embrace the spirit of *carpe diem*? 3) Having food, drink, clothing, and the means to keep myself clean—not everyone has these basic necessities! 4) My parents, who raised me to be a good person, despite the difficulties and limitations that both they and I have had to face. 5) Not having to "earn" the love of my family; I am accepted and loved just as I am. 6) Myself—for letting go of certain relationships and choosing to invest in my own growth and a fresh start. My life is calmer now, and I’m creating space to build new, more mature connections with others. Remember: not every loss is truly a loss. By letting go and dedicating time to getting to know yourself, you make room for something newer, better, and more secure—paving the way for your future, whether in your personal life, career, education, or private sphere. ❤️😉 It’s difficult—at least at the beginning—but the time will come when you’ll thank yourselves for it. And you will be at peace and happy. What are you grateful for—towards someone else, or perhaps towards yourself? 😊

Don’t be afraid to dream, to love, to feel, to cry, to laugh, to live—just have faith! And never give up ❤️. What do I want?
What do you want? What do you want?

Take the beautiful Aphrodite – the goddess,
and Apollo – the wondrous god.
And what do we get from that?
Aside from bodies, aside from admiration,
aside from the memory of ancient Greek celebrities.
Where is the depth? Where has it gone?
What is visible, what is seen?
It burns, it scorches...
Universal narcissism and raw passion are all that appear.
When you look at them, you only recall the statues,
you remember nothing more, you feel nothing more beside them. But what is there beyond the sight? What is beyond that?
The outward appearance.
Where is the depth? Where has the depth gone?
What is sexy? Therefore, therefore...
The next, most sexy core
will be mutual investment in human relationships,
anchored in understanding.
The most sexy thing is simply to be kind,
a warm, decent person of high standing,
with values on this earthly globe.

A cherry heart I offer you, as a sweet invitation.

“ The stars twinkle the same, yet everything is somehow different”- poem 🌠✨

A monotonous road... Routine, duties, washing dishes, cleaning, work, family, the eternal human tension, yet a life ladder all the same. A tangled mess, every step is a rung, and what it hides—I never know. Oh, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know! As if someone is helping, yet I walk alone, alone, alone, alone, alone... All alone. In the end, you are always left alone with it.
You live 24 hours inside yourself. And there, and there. Far, far, far away from the earth. With judgment, with absolution, even in the next world you atone for your sins alone... if an afterlife even exists. Oh, passing away, ah!(...) Sometimes fear touches the soul because of it, but it’s unneeded, for we shall all die one day. Our sentimental bodies will turn to dust, what will become of us—only God knows, no one can search it out, even if they wanted to and thought that maybe they could.

In biblical legend, the afterlife spirit wanders, wanders, wanders, wanders... invisible, invisible here on earth. They say it’s a companion, a brave, brave companion, an Angel, an Angel, a Guardian from God. Perhaps one needs to bring them a candle and a bouquet of roses. It is dark, dark, dark already. Do not get tangled out there anymore, do not get tangled anymore... It is dark, dark already, you wake up, you wake up, it is morning again. Monotony, you think every day is just the same, the very same... such a strangely natural state. That I, that I... think, think that... nothing will change... everything will be the same ... Forte, forte piano. The cuckoo bird calls from the clock. Saying it’s time, it’s time (...).

Work, home, school, plain everyday life and so day by day, life is a slow mortality, yet keep your desire for it. Grittiness is needed for this. Even though you think it sometimes fades within you. We rush, we rush, instead of having the courage to live—we do not know how to stop in this rat race on this given time. I must, I must, do it, do it, do it... because I won’t make it... I won’t go out... because I can’t... Or I go out... and so every single day. Round and round the same thing. Wake up, wash, eat breakfast, go to work, fill out the questionnaire, come back for lunch, a miserable supper, and go to sleep.... In a circle, the same narrator, the same given script. A silent ovation. A brief routine of the day, one and two. Round and round, as the rooster crows, the same thing again, still the same thing again.

Look, look, every day is actually different, unique, unrepeatable, exceptional. Maybe you will say, you will say: "The stars twinkle the same, yet it feels different". Look, look, look. A meteor shower does not fall every day, even if it were your dream. Those are only specific nights, what you look at is what you see in nature’s creation. What else happens that is not everyday? Here is my question. Your answer whispers: birthdays, name days, holidays, each of them has its own number cast into the calendar. And don’t look at me like that anymore, don’t look. We don’t do everything the same way on all those days, even when it comes to the carps and the fish. Even the whales in the ocean remember this and confirm it. And none of this is make-believe.... And even ordinary days do not unfold the same way. Nothing happens twice and never will, whether in nature, on special days, or plain ones. Every second is a usually unusual earthly journey. Even the night constellation changes, the curtains are not always the same, the beds are not made the same way, the dinner is not cooked the same, different though similar situations, for different though similar reasons there are ovations.
The stars twinkle just the same, yet it is somehow different. Tears marked by different reasons, some by suffering, others by joy. One time you are moved by the joy of the golden sun, another time it happens because of the black moon of someone else. A trick, a trick called "different".... It is always the same, yet different. Remember, remember, this is how I shall define life.... Whispers, whispers the trick called "different". Prosaically, prosaically, stardust wraps around life’s gale, before we reach far to the end, far to the end, to God’s treasury, judgment, and our sinful affairs.

THANKS FOR READING, OVERTHINKING GIRL 🫶 WARM REGARDS! LiLi Samith Literature, Love and Leaves Rubab Ashfaq Racha Rabi Raja Rama Nassif Romaisa♥️✨ Pournami SpiderMan Girl Huda Tufail Theia Dreams Janis Masyk-Jackson Ilovegamja Itz.Ruhma I Inscribed-Echoes Inara Neva Nyx Tesla🌀 Nina Song Mahdia Noor Noor Kids Academy Noor saba Ugur Karamuti Ember unsaid ❀ Unfinished Me Vaidik K Kevin Writes Sad Lady Dr. Ajaya Sankar Cuurious caat WordsInWilderness Ashmita Angeliki Z. Fatehana Little Human Observations✨️ Aria Stella Zininzi.A.Bomoyi

“ Outside the window" poem ( a writing challenge) 🪟🖤

I was hiding behind the window, behind the window, behind the window. Shyly, ever so shyly, behind the window, behind the window. I sit here, lost in thought, by the phone. Should I publish this text should I really put it out there? Have I written it well enough? Did I get anything muddled up?

AND THEN, SUDDENLY AN AVALANCHE. First a few, then a dozen or so, then hundreds of fans gather, and it completely takes my breath away. Because I couldn’t believe it. I still couldn’t believe it. Though, of course, the true strength doesn’t lie in the numbers alone.

I write for myself, yet also for others in need. Those who find a piece of themselves here feel a sense of satisfaction—I remember every one of your reactions. I also recall the uncertainty, the feeling of being different; shrouded behind a black curtain, my cheeks would flush, and my eyelids would smolder with the heat of my overthinking. Now, I approach the window with greater boldness, opening up my world to you with a clear conscience. Please, my dear fellow writers, take a critical look at my work. Introversion and expression—this is my unabashed finesse. An enclave, an excellence—a procession of more than three hundred souls now bows before me. Oh, it’s nothing grand; a natural gift for the written word simply flows through me.

I don’t have to force it; it flows through my blood, my DNA, and the depths of my being. It races, races, races—like a machine in motion. There’s still a hint of withdrawal, though perhaps a little less than before. I’m slowly revealing myself, stepping out from behind the theatrical curtain, inviting you to join my "Overthinking Girl" team. Let’s soar to new heights in writing—with pen in hand, exploring thoughts that are purely black and yellow, with the occasional splash of pink. A sweet, shy little soul whispers, "Oh, it’s nothing, really."

Oh my, oh my—what do you think of this? A writer, a real writer! Aren’t you ashamed—no, wait, why should you be? A simple, young girl writes because it’s her passion, her very nature, her driving force. It’s a charming kind of shyness—haha! *Carpe diem!* Let the moment linger. Perhaps talent can speak for itself, but my modesty whispers: "Thank you—I’m refining my craft, slowly but surely, and I won’t go around boasting about it." Delighted by your comments, I’m stepping out from behind my window to join the world—and that’s something worth celebrating! The blue light of screens has given me the chance to reveal my potential, and now, it’s being appreciated. My little diamond filled with vivid, literary imagery remains untamed. Each of you is truly unique, and for that, you shall receive a virtual certificate from me. To those who read come, step quietly into my world. Knock from beyond the window; wait for me—I’ll emerge, slowly, from behind the glass. I won’t linger by that window a moment longer. Talent requires courage—let everyone come to terms with that! It must be nurtured, like a diamond, and polished with precision.

Thanks for reading, Overthinking Girl. Warm regards 🫶! Ps. This challenge is super simple: write a personal piece in any format you like about how you feel as a writer today, compared to how you felt when you published your very first text. Everyone is welcome to join in! 🤍 Pournami Philip S. You are close, I know, though I do not know where your body rests.
It decomposes among the stones, entirely withered away,
the blood no longer flows, the heart no longer beats;
yet that depth, the soul within you, lives forever.
Those who feel this pain will understand what I say.
Do you remember, do you still remember me?
Uncle, uncle....
I know you look down on me from above,
or at least I believe that sometimes you watch me from on high.
And from a sky as distant as heaven, where clouds are far away,
if an afterlife exists,
the dust rises from beneath the Pegasus’s horseshoe.
Do you remember, do you remember...?
When you played football with me as a child,
or went out to feed the ducks....?
These are fruitful memories that still exist in my mind...
Those who feel this pain will understand what I say. Do you remember, do you remember...?
When you wanted me to overcome the bicycle obstacle...
You didn’t live to see it, you didn’t live to see it....
But as today’s author of words, I will tell you one thing:
I believe you watch over me like an angel.

It was supposed to happen on your birthday....
Though your death had already lasted less than a bloody year.
It was already the year 2017, though the end of 2016.
As if the sun brightened over my sky,
when it is so beautiful and hot...
In July, in July, the bicycle became my carriage.
With that joy, though late, I overcame the obstacle of balance.
It’s a pity you couldn’t see it..... though I believe you saw it as a spirit.
You are with me, not physically, but in my heart; memory never dies....
Though I cannot see you with my eyes, I will be with you in my thoughts.
Another uncle, you died a miserable death. The year 2020.
Do you remember, do you remember....?
You were so helpful to my grandmother, she will never forget it....
Wheelbarrows of branches you hauled away, you never forgot to go to the shop...
You did not neglect it, even if the winter was freezing –
you went, you did not doubt, and you did not back out. Do you remember, do you remember....?
You thanked us for cleaning up the yard,
in your neighboring house, where your mother also lived.
When she stayed in the hospital –
we cleaned the garden beds, washed the doors,
we swept the stairs during the Indian summer,
and you repaid us for that.
You were known for your good, pure heart...
You died a miserable death.
Soul, do not forget us, remember us at least a little.

Grandpa, the year 2010.
I did not get to know you well....
Yet there is mourning for you in my heart.
But someone reminded me of your history,
so do you remember, do you remember...?
When I was a little toddler,
you showed me rabbits walking around the yard,
when the sun was still hot, hot....
When you called me an angel back then,
when mischief was not on my mind,
because I was a quiet child – and to this day it remains mostly so.
I remember, I won’t forget, though I did not get to know you well.
The litany for people in mourning and in the blue sky
does not end in the afterlife.
Above, the blue curtain opens.....
Whomever God invites – a deathly demise arrives
wrapped in hope, with a bright posture, a preacher.
Wrap me in a bright flame.
Since you lived, you carried candles, human,
and when it went out, you simply vanished from this world,
and were reborn in the next.

Wherever the afterlife is, whatever faith you hold –
look ahead.
Wipe away the tears; every soul must die.
Wash your face with holy water, while life is dear,
raise your prayers to God.
Believe! They will give you strength when fate gets twisted… STANZA DEDICATED TO Sehra Khan 🕯️🌫️
Heart, my heart.

"I invite You into My inner world" — a writing challenge 🖤✨

Hi everyone! Overthinking Girl (Amelia) here. Welcome to my challenge! 🫶🫶 There’s no poem this time—but don’t worry (if anyone was concerned): more poems are definitely on the way! As an author, I simply want to grow and experiment a little. I should also mention that the very first piece I published here on Medium was a poem titled "Don’t Be a Beggar" an experiment, back when I had no idea if my creative work would ever reach a wider audience. Since then, I’ve kept this profile going, and I am incredibly grateful for the level of interest I’ve received within my niche—I now have over 300 followers and nearly 200 subscribers! 🤍 You’re probably curious about the writing challenge I’ve prepared for you; this time, it’s titled: " I invite You into My inner world ". You know me for my introspection, depth, a touch of melancholy, and above all my sensitivity. This theme is very close to my heart, and I hope it resonates with you, too or at the very least, encourages some deeper, personal reflection. So, let’s get to it! I’d like you to answer 3 questions. Of course, if there’s any question you’d rather not answer, feel free to skip it! 🤗 It’s entirely up to you, though I’d be absolutely delighted if you decided to share your responses with me.

Q1: If you could turn back time, what would you change in your life? 🧡🫶. My answer: We often say, "Oh, if only I could turn back time, I would do or say things differently," or conversely, "I would do exactly the same." Personally, I think this is a natural line of thought for anyone though, in my view, sometimes an unnecessary one, given the simple fact that we cannot turn back time. And if we *could* turn back time and hypothetically chose to act differently, would we still truly be ourselves? I sometimes wonder about that. But from my perspective, I’ll tell you one thing: if I could truly turn back time, I would certainly spend less energy chasing after people who don’t want me in their lives. That’s it—and that’s everything. It’s just not worth it! I don’t regret the good times, but I do regret the time wasted on the wrong people though, then again, how was I supposed to know back then? Hmm... Let me put it this way: I was simply an earlier version of the person I am today. If I had possessed the wisdom I have now, I would have handled certain things differently; but the fact remains that I didn’t have that knowledge at the time. So, punishing myself for it even though I do have a tendency toward self-criticism, taking things to heart, absorbing emotions like a sponge, and overthinking would simply be a mistake.

Q2: Have you ever experienced a sense of stagnation (or a feeling that life is meaningless)? If so, did it happen often, or only occasionally? What specifically led to this? Why did you have this feeling? 🖤 My answer: Personally, I have experienced such stagnation, though fortunately not very often. Why? Because I’ve had the impression that “I don’t fit into this world," or that I "can’t keep up with this world." And why is that? Because throughout the time I’ve lived—my 18 years of life—I’ve sensed a gap between myself and certain people who think only superficially. Personally, I find that I’m simply unable to do that. I cannot judge a person solely through the lens of what others say about them, or look only at the surface—what they look like, how much money or how many friends they have, or what their past was like. I always look for the underlying reasons—the "why"—because I know there are many complex factors behind why someone might behave a certain way or appear the way they do. For example: "One person might have crooked teeth by choice—even though they have the means to straighten them—while another person might be unable to do so, either due to the structure of their jaw or the specific positioning of their teeth, or simply because they lack the necessary funds. Or consider another example: someone might remain silent out of arrogance, whereas another person might be unable to speak due to a severe condition—such as mutism or autism—or perhaps they are simply very shy and need a bit of help. Or, in another scenario, someone might not understand certain social norms. In such a case, is it better to explain these norms to them, or to laugh at them and take advantage of their kindness or naivety?" Why, then, do people lack the understanding to consider that someone might develop insecurities—or feel deeply hurt—if they are mocked or judged hastily? This is something I do not understand, and likely never will, when it comes to people. Having been someone who stood out from others in one way or another, I once felt a sense of profound despondency, as I didn’t receive the full acceptance I needed from my peers. Now, however, I realize that you must first find that acceptance within yourself—regardless of what others might think of you. People judge, and they will continue to judge. Keep that in mind. And it is precisely for these reasons that I write—that I create—to raise awareness and to share my story as best I can, drawing on examples from my own difficult past or the people I’ve lost (though I now realize that losing them wasn’t truly a loss, and it wasn’t always my fault, as I had treated them well). 🫶 Those who have ever felt the same way will understand what I’ve expressed in my poetry, as well as what I am sharing now as part of this challenge.

Q3: What would you say to your younger self? I would tell my younger self—that little girl—many things that I now know as a woman entering adulthood—someone who is still growing and searching for her own identity, while already knowing who she truly is. The first thing I would tell her is, without a doubt, to help others—but... without forgetting about herself in the process. Practice "healthy egoism" in your life—which doesn’t mean being an unhealthily selfish or narcissistic person (someone entirely self-absorbed, thinking, "No one else matters—only ME, ME, and ME!"). At the same time, it means avoiding the opposite extreme: being someone whose own needs are treated as insignificant—someone who is hyper-caring, hyper-loyal, or overly helpful to the point of exhaustion and burnout. Help as much as you are truly able to, and do what you can for others; how they choose to perceive or receive your efforts is their business, not yours. A healthy balance is key—that is what I am gradually striving for. A second point would be: "Set boundaries without feeling guilty." I probably don’t need to explain that further. Let’s respect ourselves and set boundaries to protect our own well-being. How someone else reacts to those boundaries is their concern, not yours. If they respect them—great, that speaks very well of them; if they don’t—that is entirely their own issue. Do not be afraid to set boundaries. And a third piece of advice I would give my younger self is: "Don’t take on too much responsibility for others—especially for other people’s emotions, because you have no control over those." This is very often linked to a lack of well-developed assertiveness. The fourth thing I would tell myself is: "Don’t be afraid to walk away without an explanation—and remember, not every loss is truly a loss." I’ll combine these into one point because they resonate deeply with my own life. I used to fear rejection—and to be honest, I still do—but I’ve found that, paradoxically, I am now mentally and internally stronger after going through difficult experiences. I’ve learned to recognize when it’s time to let go, and I’ve become much clearer about who I want in my life and who I’d rather not have any contact with. I am the one who decides—no one else. Remember: not everyone deserves you—your attention, your kindness, your time, or even a conversation. Of course, you also need to be self-aware enough to recognize when the issue might lie with you—avoid the hypocrisy of painting everyone else as "bad" while you are the "good" one—but you must also look at the other person’s side. If a relationship is one-sided, it’s not worth it. Sometimes, when there is too much hurt, you need to walk away—either to see how the other person reacts or simply to create some distance. If the other person isn’t concerned, let it go and don’t look back, even if it hurts. It’s just not worth it! You will understand this eventually, and you’ll be very grateful to yourself for it. The fifth thing I would tell myself is: "Speech is silver, but silence is golden." You shouldn’t share your problems or your joys with just anyone; talk about them only with someone you trust—ideally your parents, loved ones, or a psychologist. A friend? You have to be careful here, because not everyone who claims to be a friend truly is one. For a true person is one who always keeps your secrets, rejoices in your successes, supports you through your weaknesses and difficulties, is honest with you, makes you feel at ease, and will never betray you. Think about this. It is an important matter. As the saying goes: "Laugh among people, but weep in private; be light-footed in dance, but never in life." This is true, and it is a principle I advise you to follow as well. Not everyone deserves your concerns, as they might use them against you—so choose the people you let into your life carefully. Yet, if you do make a mistake, do not despair. The sixth point, therefore, is: "Do not give up," no matter how bad things may be, have been, or might become in your life. After a storm, the sun always comes out. The seventh point is: "Forgive"—not for the sake of others, but for your own. Seeking revenge is not a sign of strength, but of weakness. The eighth point is: "Do not toy with the feelings of others; be honest." If you see that someone cares for you, but you do not feel the same way, tell them—even if it hurts—so they are not left with false hope. The ninth point is: "It is normal for your body to change." Do not punish yourself for it. In most cases, you can work on it—by adjusting your diet or starting to exercise. In other instances, it may not be so simple; regardless, remember that your body is beautiful—do not try to convince yourself otherwise. Your outward appearance does not define you; what matters is your inner self—your heart and your mind. The tenth and final point is: "Love yourself." Don’t be afraid of being alone—loneliness is not the same thing as simply being by yourself. Loneliness is a void, whereas being alone is time spent with yourself; instead of viewing it negatively, we should learn to see it as a valuable opportunity to reflect on things, pursue our passions, do something nice for ourselves, and learn more about who we are. Let’s treat it as a period of personal growth and self-discovery 🫶✨. I encourage you to do just that—because you cannot truly love or even genuinely like someone else until you have learned to love yourself.

Thanks for reading, Overthinking Girl. We do not know.
I know what exists right now.
And for now, it’s the best.
I won’t jinx it, because that’s how it is.
I feel freshness, a confidence in myself,
living for today, in the present moment.
A warm scarf wraps around me
in the chilly autumn air;
fear sinks into my lower pocket.
I wish everyone could find a home,
for not all people have been spoiled by the world.

THANKS FOR READING, OVERTHINKING GIRL 🧡 Warm regards! Pournami moire ⋆.˚ Janis Masyk-Jackson The Glow Edit Itz.Ruhma I Racha Rama Nassif 𝕎𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕥𝕖𝕟 𝕓𝕪 𝔼𝕝𝕝𝕖 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕖 𝗥𝘂𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵 Lee Know Girl Dr. Ajaya Sankar Sarah Zeiss Fatehana Literature, Love and Leaves Nina Song WordsInWilderness Ilovegamja Sehr Ul Islam Kehkshan Inara Neva Ash Ashmita ExploringMimi Ember unsaid ❀ Evara Ugur Karamuti Nyx Tesla🌀 Bcoming Sanaya Vaidik K Noor Kids Academy Karishma Tripathy Noor saba Mahjabeen, M.Phill Theia Dreams eyeer-ꦌꦮ^³ Fırat |Yazar
