Dealing With Overwhelm, Over-Heated Earth And Hot Politics
Thoughts on mental, emotional, physical and planetary health during times of great transition
Too much information, not enough healthy calm
All over the Earth, elections are here, or upcoming. At the same time, so much information and misinformation is fired at us that we tune out.
Last week Barrack Obama traded barbs and put-downs about Trump’s love of vanity decor and monument projects honoring Trump’s legacy. This week, Israel is facing new leadership at a time when Middle Eastern conflicts affect the entire geo-political globe. From Putin and Zelensky in Europe to people in South America voting against another Bolsonaro and staying with Lula da Silva as their leader in Brazil, much is churning while many people feel the world is burning.
Our U.S. leaders and their fraught electoral races are also all over the news and it fire hoses on, even while many people feel so burnt out they are sitting out of the election cycle.
Too much of our news, our media feeds, and even our social media is misinformation, propaganda, or at the least, biased toward particular identities who exclude others with whom they disagree.
