SQL has always been a non-negotiable skill for most tech roles. As a matter of fact, I was asked an SQL question in 75% of my total interviews. The roles that I was applying for were ML Engineer, AI Engineer, Data Scientist, and Analyst.
My interviewers expected me to know SQL. This is because knowing SQL indicates that your fundamentals are strong.
