Never Pay for a Hotel Room Again
Although there are many great hotels around the world, I don’t travel just to stay in one. For me, it’s merely a necessary part of the journey.
But there is a way to eliminate this necessity, and no, it’s not Airbnb or anything similar.
Imagine if your hotel room could travel with you, providing all its amenities throughout the journey.
But no, I’m not thinking about camper vans or RVs. Neither cruise ships.
The former doesn’t let you enjoy the journey unless you love driving those things on the highway, while the latter doesn’t give you the freedom to go wherever you want.
I’m talking about self-drive canal boating.
These are typically medium-sized boats, ranging from 30 to 40 feet, with modest engines capable of powering the boat at slow speeds.
Typically, you don’t need to hold any boating license to rent these, as they are advertised as accessible to anyone (more about this later).
So you can hire a boat like this and travel through some of the most scenic parts of France, the Netherlands, Ireland, or even Canada.
