Where The Earth
Knows My Name~~~
When the world grows too loud,
Too sharp with its judgments,
Too heavy with its burdens I was never meant to carry,
I leave it behind.
I seek familiar places
Where silence is not emptiness
But a language older than words.
As a new day settles into a mountain valley,
The earth exhales, and I breathe with her.
I sit among the mountains,
Beneath the watchful pines,
The steady maples and the wise oaks.
Though no human voice surrounds me,
I am not alone.
The trees speak through the trembling
Of their leaves,
Through roots woven deep beneath the soil,
Through a quiet energy that presses
Gently against my skin.
They tell me,
You belong here.
You have nothing to fear.
