Coffee Late: Upon Making Time for Things
A coffee journal
13–06–2023
You never get time; you make time. I often wondered about my journaling here as a hobby or something that would qualify as a creative, helpful pastime. Something that I knew was valuable but immediately could not yield. Much like crop, mental crop, this one. Now that I find myself busy with jobs, chores, and all the markers that come along, journaling with a cup of coffee feels like a luxury of time.
Hobbies often materialize into beautiful vocations when diligently followed. And they better turn into vocations, for it is not easy to maintain hobbies after new and new layers keep adding to your life.
Jobs would take away your day, relationships would take your emotions, money would take your mind and all that you planned. Your life, your life would follow suit.
Extra effort is needed to tear through, layer by layer, the sheaths we have covered ourselves with. And that’s only for the better if your efforts are towards the right ideals.
It is important that you make time for the right things in life.
I chose to have coffee late, even when the nature of my work demands very early mornings. Why? Journaling with coffee is a luxury, right?
