I’m driving along the motorway with my mum.

Into the comfortable shared silence, she suddenly says

Conjecture

What did you say, mum?

Intermediary

Extolling

What?!

Platitudes

I glance over. Mum is staring straight ahead, looking inquisitive and thoughtful. Looking at the bumpers of the lorries and cars passing by. She is playing the number plate game.

Fortification

Serendipity

All you need to do is use the three last letters on the vehicle numberplate, in the order that they arrive, to create as long a word as possible.

Bamboozled

Educational

Extractability

I come from a family who love words. Or more accurately, a family of spelling pedants. I can count on them to correct me and point out my errors. I find this helpful, slightly frustrating (that I let a mis-spell got through in the first place) and also quite amusing.
