The Menu Board Mischief
A little mischief got us in trouble
We are middle-class people.
We don’t spend money that often.
If we get bored, we find simple ways to enjoy ourselves.
Like going to the beach with family.
Only fuel charges. Rest is free.
The waves, the breeze, the kids running around with their slippers in hand.
Most people in Chennai have done this at least once. Or maybe a hundred times.
Another great place to go? The park. But that’s more of a spot for friends. Or a special friend🤪.
We usually go to the beach on Sundays. And after that, dinner at a hotel.
Not just any hotel.
Palmgrove.
A legendary place for South Indian meals and tiffin. Good food. Good quality. Affordable.
It was our usual Sunday routine.
But childhood isn’t complete without a bit of mischief, right?
After eating, we had to wait for our car. Valet parking. Sunday crowd. Slow moving.
And waiting is boring.
So, what do kids do? Find entertainment.
