Where is your silver lining when you have no gold left within?
I gather that you could never discover one in Berlin.

I remember seeing a silver lining around the bend.
It was a mind-filled mirage that had to be prudently penned.

All those who died or those who were maimed only portray the gore.

Is there a silver lining to a longer life all alone?
Not at all and even for a plant which can also bemoan.

When Anthi smiles or laughs I can perceive a silver lining.

All these couplets are mantinades. A mantinada typically consists of a Cretan 15-syllable rhyming couplet.
