Why I Love Halloween
The month of October is my favorite time of year. The weather is cooler, the leaves have changed color, and there’s a chill in the air. And of course there’s Halloween — a holiday I look forward to year after year.
There’s the spooky decorations that fill the neighborhood, the fun and eerie Halloween themed music, and the multitudes of costumes.
While I very much enjoy most horror and the eeriness of the unknown, my enjoyment of Halloween goes beyond the eeriness of the holiday and the fun and thrilling scares.
I think the reason I especially enjoy Halloween is because it is a holiday that centers on creativity and imagination. It is that one time of year in which you can be anything you want if only for one night. It makes Halloween night feel even more magical.
