The Flying Saucer Pie Company

The Leeson family and their helpers have made homemade pies at the Flying Saucer Pie Company, located in Houston, Texas, for decades. Founded in 1967, they have focused on making from-scratch pies containing no preservatives. According to their website, they use only high-quality ingredients and don’t use sugar substitutes.

It’s a Busy Place!

As you can see in my photos, our first visit to this shop was in July. It was hard to get a clear picture of the mural on the side of the building because a steady stream of cars kept pulling in and blocking the view. My husband and I spent quite some time before snapping these photos.

Every customer we observed exiting the store was carrying at least two, if not more, boxes of pie. I asked one gentleman who was carrying a stack of five boxes if he was a regular shopper. He said he was and had been patronizing the Flying Saucer Pie Company for many years and said that the pies are all delicious.
