After completing manuscripts totaling over 300 thousand words, I still dread handing out a draft to someone and saying, “Hey — I wrote a book. Can you check it out?”
Completing so many manuscripts taught me the discipline of finishing, but until I took a step back and looked into it, I never realized why none of them worked.
I’d read many books, blogs, and articles, watched videos — but it was all a mess in my head. I had to get it all together, and that’s exactly when the golden opportunity arrived: a free month in the Jerry Jenkins Writing Guild.
