I Can’t Even Watch a TV Show Without Checking My Phone Anymore

I’ve noticed something about myself lately, and honestly, it bothers me.

I can no longer sit through an episode of a TV show without reaching for my phone.

Not because the show is boring.

Not because someone is calling me.

Not because I’m waiting for an important message.

I just need to have something in my hand.

And most of the time, that something is my phone.

I unlock it without knowing why.

I open an app without having anything specific to look for.

I scroll through a few posts, check a conversation I’ve already read, watch a video I didn’t intend to watch, and then move to another app.

Sometimes, I close my phone only to pick it up again less than a minute later.

And the strangest part?

I don’t even realize I’m doing it.

It’s become so automatic that I barely notice the movement anymore.
