How fast can you get from Age of Abundance and Money being irrelevant to “we can’t afford it”? Three days is enough.
I am connecting some dots here again, and I believe it’s very likely I won’t be able to afford my current vibe-coding levels (which aren’t that huge). I want to wrap up all my apps in the next 2 weeks.
What happened?
Grok bot, launched and advertised heavily, in just two months surpassed 800,000 paid weekly users. Yet, heavy limits were enforced, as it turns out it’s highly unprofitable.
The hilarious part is, that just three days before Elon Musk said that Money is going to be irrelevant in the future. I guess he meant YOUR money.
Now, it appears running Grok Bot at initial capacity was unsustainable and losing money.
Now I don’t plan to bash on Elon. Sure, many things he does are questionable, but he also did push technology forward in multiple industries. And he does say silly things like that. But all AI CEO’s seem to have a PR problem. Just recently:
