Touchscreen MacBook proves Apple’s out of touch
The tech world is completely out of ideas.
On October 20th, 2010, during the Back to the Mac keynote, Steve Jobs argued that:
Touchscreen laptops are ergonomically terrible.
He argued that they did a lot of testing on this and found that it just doesn’t work. Touch surfaces don’t want verticality. It may look good on a demo, but after a long session your arm “wants to fall off”.
So why bring it back now? Has the biohacking/fitness craze made us all so strong, we can finally comfortably use a vertical touch surface?
I have a very sad theory, as someone who grew up mesmerized by Apple keynotes and whose entire career was built using their products.
But hey, at least the logo is glowing again, right?!
