From Valencia, Spain, I write about cities, money, and quality of life — and how they shape the way we live. Using em dashes since 2005.
Excellent piece.
I'd love to see you write about the "wall of sound." Ever since I learned about it, through Springsteen, it has been fascinating to me, but I don't know much. I do think though, that in the context within which you're writing, you would be able to teach us a lot.
Great idea I will think about how to write about it. I learned about it from my dad who told me about Phil Spector and it was developed in LA. I love how these production techniques of the old days had regional identities because it was the place, and people living in these places which came up with these techniques.
