The Pastor With Two Wives: The Real Scandal Isn’t Polygamy

--

Image taken from their own public social media.

Recently Pastor Israel Ford of LifeWorks Church in Wickliffe, near Cleveland, Ohio introduced his second wife. As you can perhaps imagine this news went viral and caused quite a stir.

Now before we go any further I should perhaps make something very clear. Three people, all consenting adults have an arrangement. Normally I would not care. This however is a Pastor and … nope sorry, I still don’t really care. Well OK, I’m bemused by the reactions to it all, and when faced with his “Biblical” justification for this arrangement, I might indeed laugh. Beyond that, nope, don’t care.

So what makes this interesting enough to motivate me to write about it?

Once the media spotlight turned its unrelenting glare upon him, what soon became apparent was that there was something far more sinister and dark going on. It is that dark malice that does indeed merit attention, and so that is why we are digging into this today.

The media frenzy commenced on 25 October 2026, when Ford and his first wife, Lydia, introduced his second wife, Shakayla Talley Ford, to their congregation.

How did the church congration react?

In a rather surprising way. Apparently they gave the three of them a standing ovation.
