Special permissions required
Because adding Adobe Analytics metrics to Search Ads 360 creates a Floodlight conversion action, your user account needs all of the following permissions:
- In Search Ads 360, you need "Admin", "Admin without billing", or "Standard without billing" permissions at manager or sub-manager level.
- Your account also needs a user profile in Campaign Manager 360 with the following permissions:
- Floodlight: full access
- Access to the Campaign Manager 360 API
Google accounts with multiple user profiles in Campaign Manager 360 aren't supported in Search Ads 360. If your Google account has been granted multiple user profiles in Campaign Manager 360, you won't be able to link Search Ads 360 to Adobe Analytics, even if your Campaign Manager 360 profiles have the correct roles.
Add metrics from a report suite
- Navigate to a sub-manager account associated with the CM360 parent account.
- From the page menu, under “Tools & settings”, select Conversions.
- Select Summary.
- Select + Create conversion action, then select “Import”.
- Select the radio button next to "Adobe Analytics".
- Select Select category and choose the appropriate category from the drop down.
- Select Select a report suite, and then select Continue.
- Select the Goal category for your action.
- Give the conversion a name.
- At this point you must select variables from the Adobe Analytics report suite that you wish to track.
- If you have selected a purchase category before, you'll select 2 variables here, one representing the count of transactions and the other representing the revenue from those transactions.
- If you select a non-purchase category, you'll only select one variable from the report suite that maps to the conversion action you're creating.
- Select Create and continue to finalize the setup.
Calculated metrics may not be available in Search Ads 360 if they aren’t shared with the correct user on the Adobe Analytics side. When you link to your Adobe Analytics report suite, you should provide a “Technical Account ID” as part of the integration with Search Ads 360. The calculated metric must be shared with the same Technical Account ID to be available for use as a metric later in the integration. Learn more on how to Share calculated metrics.
Note: You may only use a variable in a report suite in one conversion action at a time. If you're trying to add a new metric and don’t find it in the list of available metrics, follow the steps below:
- Confirm that it's a valid type that Search Ads 360 supports.
- Check if it's in that report suite in Adobe Analytics.
- If both check out, check to find that you're not already using it in another conversion action.
- If you're using it in another conversion action, you'll need to remove that in order to use the metric again.
Changing the metric type in Search Ads 360
If you add a metric as an action metric and then later want to change to a metric that reports revenue, you need to remove the original metric from Search Ads 360. Then, you can add a new revenue metric.
The same is true if you want to change a revenue metric to an action metric. Remove the original metric and add a new one that specifies the new type you want to use.

Use Adobe Analytics data in reports or bid strategies.
Wait a day after adding a report suite and metrics before reporting on Adobe Analytics data. It may take a full day for Search Ads 360 to start importing reporting data from Adobe Analytics.
If you need to make value adjustments for your Adobe Analytics metrics, perform these within the Adobe Analytics UI.
