Use your watch to find your devices & items

If you misplace your phone, other devices, or items, your smartwatch might be able to help you find them.

Find my phone

Important: To use your watch to find your phone, it must be:

  • Powered on.
  • Connected to your watch by Bluetooth.
  • Close enough that you can hear it.

Use your watch to make your phone ring.

  1. If your screen isn't visible, wake up the watch.
  2. From the watch face, swipe down, then Tap Find my phone .
    • Alternatively:
      1. Open All Apps menu.
      2. Tap Find my phone.
  3. To ring your phone, tap Check mark .
  4. Wait for your phone to ring.

Tip: Your phone rings even if your volume is turned off and your phone is set to vibrate.

Use Find Hub on Wear

You can also find other devices and items with Find Hub on your watch.

  1. If your screen isn’t visible, wake up the watch.

  2. Open All Apps menu.

  3. Scroll and tap Find Hub.

    • This shows a list of your connected devices and items like:

      • Google Pixel devices

      • Fast Pair accessories like earbuds

      • Items with compatible trackers

  4. Select the device or item you want to locate.

  5. Choose from available options:

    • Play sound : Make your device or item play a sound to locate it if nearby.

    • Mark as lost : Mark your device or item as lost.

      • This protects your data and prevents unauthorized use.

    • Get directions : Get directions to your device or item's last-known location.

    • Factory reset : Remotely erase all data on your device.

      • This protects your privacy.

    • View the device or items on a map: Touch and hold, then drag around a map and view the location of your devices or items.
      1. Tap on a map preview and then Open.
      2. In the list of direction options, scroll to the bottom.
      3. To check a full screen map with a pin for your device location, tap on a map preview.
  6. To refresh the information, tap Refresh .

Tip: Your watch also provides location information. This includes whether the item is "Near you," or "Last seen near you." You can also find the "Last seen" date and time, with a map if available.
