Just pay the price for the software, unlock the features, and get the job done! People who write plugins have to eat too! I had to regenerate 20,000 thumbs today due to a spelling mistake in the watermark. RTA did it quick, easy, and professionally. No fuss, no crashes, no scratching my head trying to understand it. Giving a plugin one star, just because you don’t want to pay is not cool. Some of my customers still use their regular plugin or CDN, and even they have to pay for it now. Fortunately, Exactly WWW stepped up and offered some of the same functionalities with their plugin “Force Regenerate Thumbnails”– and it’s free. To be honest, EWWW IO is the better image optimizer anyway, even if it’s not as fancy looking as ShortPixel. I’m going to avoid ShortPixel-related products for now, because who knows what they’ll start charging for next. I can’t and won’t rely on tools from authors who may revoke access on a whim and without any warning.
