## Installation
1. Upload the translatepress folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
3. Go to Settings -> TranslatePress and choose a translation language.
4. Open the front-end translation editor from the admin bar to translate your site.

All the translation are stored locally in your server’s database.

Hi everyone, I would like to briefly share my experience with the TranslatePress
plugin. As much as I regret having to write this, the plugin was completely unusable
for my project. It simply did not do a single thing it was supposed to do.My Experience
in Detail: Incompatibility & Standard Workarounds: I am using WordPress with the
Enfold theme. Although I did my research beforehand and the plugin was listed as
compatible, nothing worked on my site. The troubleshooting tips from the TranslatePress
forum (“Deactivate all other plugins” or “Switch to the default Twenty Fifteen theme”)
are obviously not acceptable solutions for an active, professional website. Billed
for API Usage Without Any Results: Although the API keys were billed as expected,
no changes were visible on the screen. The language switcher appeared, but none
of the content (neither posts, pages, nor menu items) was translated—everything
remained in German. Tested on a Clean Installation: I even set up a completely fresh
WordPress installation with basic demo data, but it still failed to work under these
minimal conditions. The advice to load language files in Google Chrome yielded no
results either, as the tool failed to detect them. Tested Translation Services:
I tried both the standard translation service and the free Yandex option—both failed
to produce any results. Summary & Warning: It seems many users have success with
this plugin. However, if you are using a more complex theme (like Enfold) or running
multiple plugins, TranslatePress seems to hit its limits very quickly. It might
work for a simple site based on a standard template, but in my case, it was a completely
wasted workday. I will now return to tried-and-tested tools that I have successfully
used in the past (such as WPML or Polylang). It is a real shame, as the promise
behind the concept sounded very encouraging.

Perfect will be when it has Fluent Community added to the list – just for this part
i have to go to another translator for live Translation …. and forced to use Loco–
because Pabbly is way to expensive for a hobby

I’ve been using TranslatePress for over a year now, and I’m very happy with it.
It works perfectly and has been very reliable. Whenever there has been a compatibility
issue with another plugin, their customer support has been very prompt in responding
and helping to resolve it. Overall, I’ve had a great experience and can highly recommend
it.

Ich konnte die ganze Website innert relativ kurzer Zeit fehlerfrei
mit der Zusatzsprache englisch ergänzen. Für das SEO musste
ich alle Seiten noch einmal in die Neuindexierung geben. Ich bin sehr zufrieden, einziger Wehrmutstropfen ist, dass translatepress nicht mit der Buchungsplattform Amelia kompatibel
ist und die Bestätigungsmails deshalb in beiden Sprachen gesendet werden müssen.
