Input options

Option 1: Search Google Maps (easiest)

Provide a business category and location. The actor calls the Google Maps scraper automatically.

{
"searchQuery": "nail salons",
"location": "Prague",
"maxPlaces": 50,
"buyerPersona": "booking_software"
}

Option 2: Use existing data

Pass a dataset ID from a previous Google Maps scraper run.

{
"datasetId": "your-dataset-id-here",
"buyerPersona": "ecommerce_platform"
}

Option 3: Manual URLs

Provide your own list of websites to analyze.

{
"urls": [
{"url": "https://example-salon.com", "name": "Example Salon"},
{"url": "https://another-business.cz", "name": "Another Business"}
],
"buyerPersona": "general"
}

Buyer personas

Choose what you're selling to optimize lead scoring:

  • Booking / Scheduling Software — Highest weight on missing booking systems
  • E-commerce Platform — Highest weight on missing online store + payments
  • Marketing & Email Automation — Highest weight on missing email tools + analytics
  • Website Builder / CMS Upgrade — Highest weight on missing or outdated CMS
  • Payment Processor — Highest weight on missing payment processing
  • Live Chat / Chatbot — Highest weight on missing chat widgets
  • Analytics Platform — Highest weight on missing analytics tools
  • General — All gaps weighted equally

Lead scoring

Each lead gets a score from 0-100:

  • Hot (70-100): Missing critical tech for your product — strong buying signal
  • Warm (40-69): Some gaps — worth reaching out
  • Cold (0-39): Already has most tools — lower priority

Scoring factors:

  • Missing technology weighted by your buyer persona (primary driver)
  • Competitive benchmarks — missing tech that most competitors have scores higher
  • Google Maps signals — price level, photo count, claimed status, review quality
  • Website quality — mobile-ready, structured data, SSL, social presence
  • Reservation URL override — if Google Maps shows a booking link, booking is not flagged as missing

Use minScore to filter: set to 70 for hot leads only.

Competitive benchmarking

Every lead includes market context showing how they compare to other businesses in the search:

  • Adoption rates — what % of similar businesses use each technology category
  • Top tools — the most popular tools in each category among competitors
  • Competitive signals — "Most competitors (67%) already use web analytics — falling behind"

This turns generic gap analysis into data-backed sales ammunition.

Detection that survives first-party proxying. Larger sites increasingly serve their own analytics and consent scripts from their own domain to defeat ad blockers, which makes naive hostname-based detectors report "no analytics" on businesses that are in fact fully instrumented. This actor also matches container and measurement IDs (GTM-…, G-…) in loader and config contexts, consent managers by their JS API, and any IAB TCF platform via __tcfapi — so a gap is reported only when it is really a gap.

Email deliverability

Every qualified lead's email domain is checked against DNS, so you know before outreach whether the address can actually receive mail. Each lead carries contactValidation.emailDeliverable:

ValueMeaning
deliverableDomain publishes mail servers (or an address record it can fall back to)
no_mxDomain accepts no mail at all — expect a bounce
undeliverableDomain is not registered — expect a bounce
unknownLookup did not complete; the address is unconfirmed, not condemned

Included at no extra cost, and one lookup per distinct domain. Template placeholders that site builders leave behind — filler@godaddy.com, name@domain.com, the Czech jmeno@domena.cz — are discarded rather than passed off as a real contact.

Social & contact intelligence

Every lead includes extracted social profiles and contact methods:

  • Social media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Twitter/X, Pinterest — actual profile URLs
  • Contact methods: Email addresses, phone numbers, contact form detection, live chat detection
  • Website quality: Mobile viewport, structured data (Schema.org), Open Graph tags, favicon

Google Maps deep signals

When searching Google Maps, the actor also captures:

  • Price level ($-$$$$) — indicates business sophistication and budget
  • Photo count — correlates with marketing effort
  • Claimed status — unclaimed listings suggest low digital maturity
  • Reservation URL — pre-detects existing booking (prevents false positives)
  • Coordinates — latitude/longitude for geographic analysis
  • Place ID — stable Google identifier for deduplication

Pricing

  • $0.01 per qualified lead — includes tech stack analysis, scoring, benchmarking, contact intel, and talking points
  • $0.005 per Google Maps search — one-time fee, charged only when the search actually returns businesses (skipped entirely if you provide your own dataset or URLs)
  • $0.05 per proposal and $0.01 per Lighthouse audit — only if you switch those optional add-ons on

Plus the upstream Google Maps Scraper cost. When you use the search option, this actor runs compass/crawler-google-places, which bills your account directly at ~$0.004 per place scraped (its rate, not ours). Skip it entirely by supplying a datasetId or urls.

Example cost — 50 nail salons in Prague via search:

ItemCost
Google Maps Scraper (50 places × $0.004)$0.20
Search fee$0.005
Qualified leads (≤50 × $0.01)up to $0.50
Total~$0.71

Bring your own data (datasetId / urls) and you pay no search or scraper fees — only the $0.01/lead and any add-ons you explicitly enable.

What you are never charged for

Most "lead" scrapers bill you per row, whatever the row contains. This one does not charge for a business it could not actually analyze:

SituationCharged?
Website unreachable, timed out, or returned an HTTP errorNo
Parked domain, "for sale" page, or default server pageNo
Placeholder / holding page with no real contentNo
Google Maps search that returned no businessesNo
Business scanned and scoredYes — $0.01

This matters for accuracy, not just cost. Lead scoring is driven by what a business is missing, so a page with no content would otherwise look like it was missing everything and rank as your hottest prospect. Those rows are dropped, and each one carries a skipReason so you can see why.

Blocked websites

Some sites refuse anonymous requests. When one responds with 403, 429, or similar bot protection, the scan is retried once through your configured proxy, and the result is flagged with usedProxy. Sites that answer normally are fetched directly, so proxy traffic — which bills to your account — is limited to the ones that need it.

Local businesses rarely block. Large retailers often do, and some fingerprint the HTTP client itself rather than the IP, so a proxy will not always get through; those are reported unreachable and not charged for.
