What does Altex.ro Price & Stock Scraper do?

It collects live product data from altex.ro, one of Romania's largest electronics retailers: the current price in RON, the reference price and discount, the EU 30-day lowest price, stock and pre-order status, star rating and review count, seller, brand, EAN barcode, category path, the full specification sheet and the image gallery. Results come as clean JSON, CSV or Excel with the same columns on every row.

URLs that do not exist on altex.ro (any more) produce no row and are not charged.

Invalid entries (not an altex.ro product, category or search URL) are skipped and listed under ERRORS; the run goes on with the valid ones. Connection handling is built in — there is nothing to configure.

Output

One row per product, the same keys on every row. price, availability and rating are small objects that the Overview table (and CSV/Excel export of that view) shows as separate columns.

Fields

Field	Description
productId	Altex product code (SKU) — stable across runs, use it to de-duplicate and track prices.
url	Canonical product page URL.
title, brand, seller, ean	Product name, brand, seller of the offer ("Altex" or a marketplace seller), EAN barcode.
price.current / price.original	Selling price and Altex's previous selling price, shown struck through with "-N%" on the page (original is null when there is no such discount). Numbers in RON.
price.lowest	EU 30-day lowest price when Altex shows it.
price.recommended	Manufacturer's recommended price ("PRP" on the page) when shown. It is not Altex's own previous price, so it does not set discountPercent or isOnPromo.
price.discountPercent, price.isOnPromo	Discount from the reference price (one decimal) and a promo flag.
availability.status	IN_STOCK, IN_STORE_ONLY (not orderable online, available in a store), OUT_OF_STOCK, PRE_ORDER or UNKNOWN; rawText holds the Romanian label: in stoc, in stoc la furnizor (in stock at the supplier — orderable, IN_STOCK), disponibil in magazin, stoc epuizat or precomanda.
rating.average, rating.count	Average stars (1–5, one decimal, null without reviews) and the number of reviews.
categoryBreadcrumbs	Product URLs mode: the product's category path. Category mode: the path of the category it was listed in. Null for search results.
images	Product URLs mode: the full gallery. Category / search mode: the main image.
specs	Product URLs mode: the full specification sheet (label → value, labels as Altex shows them). Null in Category / search mode.
detailLevel	full (Product URLs mode) or listing (category / search).
extractedAt	When the row was collected (ISO 8601).

Problems (ERRORS)

When something could not be read — a product that no longer exists, a category that did not load, a skipped input — the run's key-value store gets an ERRORS record: a list of { url, reason, error, timestamp } where url is the altex.ro page you gave. The final status message counts them. The Actor leaves nothing else in your account: no extra datasets or stores.

Tips and tricks

• Discover, then detail. Category / search mode is the cheap way to list a whole category with prices, stock and ratings. For the full spec sheet, gallery and exact category path, run the url values through Product URLs mode.
• Complete vs sample. A category URL lists every product of that category (up to maxPagesPerList × 48). Search results follow Altex's relevance ranking — use categories when you need the full assortment.
• Catch promotions. Filter price.isOnPromo = true, or compare price.current with price.lowest and price.recommended.
• Speed. A category or search page brings 48 products in one go. Product URLs mode reads about 1 product per second with the default settings (measured 1.1/s); raise Maximum parallel requests and Maximum requests per minute for large lists.

Scheduling

Schedule the Actor (for example daily) with the same input to build a price history. Every run returns the current state of the products you ask for; de-duplicate and join runs downstream by productId + the date of extractedAt.

Integrations

• Google Sheets / Excel — export the Overview view from the run's Storage tab.
• Zapier / Make / n8n — start runs and read the dataset through the Apify API.
• AI agents — the fixed schema maps cleanly to a "price check" or "deal finder" tool.

Limitations

• Category / search rows have no spec sheet or gallery (use Product URLs mode for those).
• specs labels are Altex's own and differ between product types.
• Only what a visitor of altex.ro sees is collected — no seller accounts, no checkout.
