Titles is a utility and vanity mod that adds unlockable titles that can be displayed next to a player's nametag. Titles is fully customizable, allowing server owners and modpack makers to remove or modify titles already provided in the mod and to add their own. Mod authors can also add their own titles for their mods. It was originally inspired by iChun's Hats mod.

Titles are unlocked in one of four ways:

1. By completing advancements. This is the most common method.
2. Through commands. Titles doesn't include any unlocked this way by default. It is meant to be used by modpack makers.
3. As loot. Titles with this unlock option have a chance of generating as a villager trade.
4. Granted by default. These are titles available to everyone without needing to meet another condition, such as the ones above.

The title selection GUI is where you select which title you want displayed next to your nametag. The default keybind to open the GUI is 't'.

As you'll notice from the image above, some titles are different colors. Those are titles that have a different rarity. Currently, there are four title rarities in the game, which matches Minecraft's item rarities: common, uncommon, rare, epic. Epic rarity is currently reserved for contributors such as notable people in the community and Patreon patrons.
