Scrap Tech Workshop ⚙️

Welcome to the Scrap Tech Workshop wiki! Dive into a world of scrap, tech, and discovery. 🌌

This mod adds a small ecosystem of scrap-based gameplay:

  • ♻️ Recycler: turn blocks, machines and materials into useful scrap pieces
  • 🗃️ Scrap Piles: small ground piles you can loot, merge, grow and that slowly decay
  • 🔧 Scrap Multitool: a battery powered all-in-one mining and utility tool
  • 🧩 Scrap Items: many themed scrap types (metal, tech, fiber, wood, crystal, glass, etc.) used for crafting and recycling
  • 🤖 Robots: automated helpers for collection and transport

How to Get Scrap 🪙

Scrap is the heart of your progression! Here are the main ways to collect it, from early to late game:

Early Game

  • Fishing 🎣: Use a regular Fishing Rod, Scrap Fishing Rod, or Magnet Fishing Rod to fish up scrap and rare components from water sources.
  • Scrap Piles 🗃️: Find and harvest naturally spawning Scrap Piles. Right-click or mine them for instant loot. Fortune and Silk Touch can boost your haul if enabled.
  • Loot Chests 🗝️: Explore the world and open chests in structures for bonus scrap and components.

Mid Game

  • Recycler ♻️: Craft a Recycler to break down blocks, machines, and materials into useful scrap. Feed it ores, planks, devices, and more for a steady supply.
  • Automation 🤖: Set up Collector Stations and deploy robots to automatically gather scrap and items from the environment. Combine with hoppers and chests for full automation.

Late Game (Planned)

  • Bigger Machines 🏭: Future updates will introduce advanced machines for mass-processing, sorting, and specialized scrap generation.

No matter your playstyle, there’s always a new way to get more scrap. Experiment, automate, and see what works best for you! 🔍

Quick Start 🚀

  1. 🗃️ Look for naturally appearing Scrap Piles on the ground and harvest them for random scrap.
  2. 🎣 Try fishing with different rods for bonus loot.
  3. 🧩 Craft or find scrap-based components and build up your stock of materials.
  4. 🔧 Assemble or obtain a Scrap Multitool and insert an energy cell battery, then add future modules once available.
  5. ♻️ Craft a Recycler (see Recycler page) and start recycling common blocks like logs, planks, ores or redstone devices.
  6. 🤖 Set up Collector Stations and robots for automation.
  7. 🌍 Explore, expand, and have fun tinkering and building! 🔍
