Contribution Guidelines
For artistic contribution, please adhere to the following definitions:
The style for textures should be from primitive (as in T1 base f.ex.) to military with dark colors, preferably gray. That of course doesnt prohibit lighter details, like "glowing" parts.
models should be in .obj format or vanilla TESR definitions (currently all models are the latter)
for pre 4.0 models of turrets are 1 block big. (except the railgun whose model is a bit bigger) and consist of a few parts. Mainly differentiating between the parts that are animated and groups of parts that should be animated. Check here for an example.
Model Structure (animated parts only on some turrets), assuming the turret is on the top of a turret:
non animated socket (kind of like a base plate attachet to the turret base) on top of turret base
clamp/holder for the turrets core (rotates perpendicular to the base plate) on top of the base plate
the core of the turret (rotates with the holder plus an additional rotation up/down) sandwiched in the holder
