the Stone Mutant may have ores. if you right click on it with a pickaxe you get the ore at the expense of durability. has a rare chance to have the Mining Stone (Can be identified by the little bluish cubes on the Stone Mutant) if you kill it, you don't get the ore!

can be found in the nether.

it can float on lava, so it's fire resistant! if you take damage from it, you will be set on fire!
