1. Snapshots from other backup apps: Synology Active Backup, Carbon Copy Cloner and similar tools leave APFS snapshots that keep deleted files using space, and mo clean now lists them with their owner even on a Mac without Time Machine, while mo analyze counts every local snapshot.
2. Correct app names in uninstall: A hidden .app backup no longer shows up in mo uninstall under its file name with a leading dot, so the list reads the same whether or not Spotlight indexes the folder.
3. Sizes at a unit boundary: mo analyze shows a file of 999,999 bytes as 1.0 MB, matching Finder, instead of 1000.0 kB.
4. README in more languages: A Polish copy joins the others, and every README now documents the Linux install command and the timeout tuning variables.

1. Debian and Ubuntu in mo clean: Old package files that apt can no longer download are removed with apt-get autoclean, after one sudo prompt and never while apt or an update runs. The space Snap keeps for older app revisions is shown with the command to free it, and left alone, since snap revert rolls back to those.
2. apt and Snap apps in mo uninstall: apt apps are removed through apt with its own confirmation, and the plan names every other package apt would take along. For a snap, it shows how big ~/snap/<name> is, since snap deletes that folder too, and --yes skips snaps that keep data there. Ubuntu's own system packages are never offered.
3. Debian and Ubuntu checks in mo optimize: Points out packages nothing needs anymore, configuration that removed packages left behind with the sudo apt purge command, and .dpkg-dist and .ucf-dist files in /etc waiting to be merged. It only reports them and changes nothing.

1. Touch ID asks once: With Touch ID enabled for sudo, mo clean now waits for the one system dialog instead of opening a second password prompt, and after you type a password on a Mac with enrolled fingerprints Mole points to mo touchid so the next run can use your finger.
2. Safer uninstall: Removing a Nightly or Beta build no longer takes the folders the stable build still uses, TeamViewer and antivirus apps such as Avast, Malwarebytes and Norton are sent to their own uninstallers, a failed removal makes mo uninstall exit 1, and uninstalling Docker no longer prints regex errors.
3. Clearer updates: After a stable mo update, Mole shows the new version's highlights and release link, and an update that cannot replace its files, usually left root-owned by an earlier sudo install, now says so with the command to fix it instead of reporting success.
4. iCloud Drive protected in analyze: mo analyze refuses to delete iCloud Drive's own folders while files inside them stay deletable, and the delete action now says "Move to Trash".
5. More careful cleaning: Shared Adobe caches wait while any Adobe app runs, only Apple-signed macOS installers are removed, Yarn Berry dependencies are kept, and helpers you built yourself are no longer listed as orphaned services.
6. Calmer status: mo status calls a disk critical only at 90% used with under 30 GB free, battery warnings start after 1000 cycles, two disks of the same size are both shown, and a terminal too short for the dashboard asks you to enlarge it instead of cutting off the top.
7. Faster scans: Protection checks match every pattern in one test and timed commands are noticed as soon as they exit, so mo clean --dry-run took 43.6s instead of 54.8s on one Mac without timeout.

1. Touch ID 只问一次：给 sudo 开了 Touch ID 后，mo clean 会等系统那一个授权框，不再接着弹第二次密码，录过指纹的 Mac 上如果你输的是密码，Mole 会提示运行 mo touchid，下次就能直接用指纹。

5. 清理更谨慎：Adobe 软件运行时不清它们共用的缓存，只清理 Apple 签名的 macOS 安装器，保留 Yarn Berry 的依赖，自己编译的 helper 不再被当成孤立服务。
6. status 不再乱报警：磁盘用了 90% 且剩余不到 30 GB 才算告急，电池循环超过 1000 次才提醒，容量相同的两块盘都会显示，终端太矮放不下面板时提示放大窗口，不再把顶部截掉。
7. 扫描更快：保护规则一次匹配完，带超时的命令一结束就能被发现，一台没装 timeout 的 Mac 上 mo clean --dry-run 从 54.8 秒降到 43.6 秒。

More caches cleaned, with data kept: Measured cache folders of Chromium preview channels, 360 Chrome, Quark, Trae, Qoder, Kiro, Discord PTB and Canary, QQ, Feishu, Lark, Jianying Pro, CapCut and more, while storage, sessions and projects stay. With --system, finished Delivery Optimization downloads are removed by Windows' own service, and NVIDIA driver installer folders go once they are a week old and unused.

Uninstall results you can rely on: mo uninstall rereads each app's uninstall command right before running it, exits 1 when an app is not fully removed, and reminds you before removing Lenovo Vantage, MyASUS or Surface that the battery charge limit stays after uninstall, so change it in the app first if needed.
5. Optimize retrims every healthy SSD: Besides the system drive, other healthy SSD volumes now get a TRIM pass.
6. Launchers keep working after PowerShell updates: mo and mole use the pwsh on PATH instead of a versioned folder a Store update deletes, start under user folders with non-ASCII names, say so plainly when pwsh has left PATH, and the installer reuses the PowerShell you ran it with.

6. PowerShell 更新后启动器照常能用：mo 和 mole 改用 PATH 上的 pwsh，不会因为商店版更新删掉旧版本目录而失效，用户名带中文时也能启动，PATH 上找不到 pwsh 时会直接说明，安装器也会沿用你运行它时的 PowerShell。

1. mo purge for old build output: Finds node_modules, target, .venv, build and about 30 other build folders under your project folders, each only beside the project file that made it, such as node_modules next to package.json. Folders changed in the last 7 days and projects a running program works in start unselected, anything git tracks is never offered, and every folder is checked again right before it is removed. mo purge --paths sets which folders it scans, and --dry-run previews.
2. mo history shows what Mole did: Recent runs grouped by command with how much each removed, moved to the Trash, skipped or failed, then the latest operations with their paths. --json exports it, --limit sets how many.
3. GPU shader caches only on request: Mesa, NVIDIA, Steam and Lutris shader caches are no longer cleaned by default, since games rebuild them on the next launch and stutter while they do. mo clean --gpu-shaders includes them, as on Windows.
4. --debug keeps a log: Any command run with --debug writes a session log and prints where it is, with your home folder shown as ~, ready to attach to an issue. mo --version now also says how Mole was installed.

Honest about space btrfs snapshots hold: On Omarchy and other systems where snapper snapshots the root, mo clean still trims old pacman packages but says their space comes back only as the snapshots rotate and leaves it out of the freed total, mo uninstall says the same for removed packages, and mo analyze notes that snapshots exist when only root can list them. On a btrfs test machine, 231 MB of old packages freed nothing until the snapshot holding them was deleted.
2. More caches covered: Steam and Lutris shader caches, Thunderbird, Telegram, WebKitGTK, Heroic, GNOME Software, sccache, Wine installer downloads and Snap app caches are cleaned, each waiting while its app runs, while Spotify's offline music and downloaded models inside Flatpak and Snap caches stay. Playwright and Cypress browser downloads are left alone, as on macOS.
3. Leftovers of about 60 more apps: Uninstall now finds the home folders of apps such as Alacritty, Neovim, Emacs, VirtualBox and Burp Suite, each path reviewed by hand from the xdg-ninja catalog. Folders other apps share or that hold sign-in keys are never offered, and chat history stays unselected.
4. Optimize points out more: Pending .pacnew merges in /etc, AUR packages that need a rebuild after a Python or library update, files under /usr and /opt no package owns, and broken links in your home folder, each with the command to run. Nothing is changed.
5. Status shows apps: Processes are grouped by app, such as "Firefox ×14", with their CPU and memory added up and GPU memory where the driver reports it, and a btrfs disk shows its data and metadata allocation, turning red when metadata is nearly full.

5. 状态面板按应用显示：进程按应用归组，比如「Firefox ×14」，CPU 和内存合在一起算，驱动报了的话还会显示显存，btrfs 磁盘会显示 data 和 metadata 的分配情况，metadata 快满时标红。

The first release of Mole CLI for Linux, written for Linux from scratch with the same look, keys and safety rules as the macOS CLI. It targets Omarchy and other Arch-based systems first; on other distributions the user-level parts work and the pacman items do not appear.

1. mo clean: Clears caches apps rebuild by themselves (browsers, Electron apps such as VS Code, Cursor, Obsidian, Discord and Slack, thumbnails, shader caches, about 50 developer tools, old AI coding agent versions, Flatpak app caches), empties the Trash, and trims old pacman packages and journal logs through paccache and journalctl. Caches of running apps are skipped, and large unknown folders are listed, never removed.
2. mo uninstall: Removes pacman, AUR and Flatpak apps, Omarchy web and terminal apps and AppImages, with each app's size and last use, then moves its leftovers to the Trash, matched by the app's exact ID only.
3. mo optimize: Refreshes font, icon and launcher caches, compacts browser and Thunderbird databases while they are closed, and points out failed services, broken launchers and autostart entries, orphan packages and TRIM switched off on an SSD. It needs no sudo.
4. mo analyze: An interactive disk map that stays on local disks, follows btrfs subvolumes and moves what you delete to the Trash.
5. mo status: Live CPU, memory and zram, disks, network, temperatures, GPU, battery and power draw, with a health score; mo status --json prints one snapshot for scripts.
6. mo update and mo remove: Update checks the release checksum before installing, and the main menu says when a new version is out.

3. mo optimize：刷新字体、图标和启动器缓存，在浏览器和 Thunderbird 关闭时压缩它们的数据库，并指出失败的服务、失效的启动器和自启动项、孤立的包以及 SSD 没开 TRIM 的情况，全程不需要 sudo。
4. mo analyze：交互式磁盘地图，只扫本地磁盘，能跟进 btrfs 子卷，删除的内容会移到废纸篓。
5. mo status：实时显示 CPU、内存和 zram、磁盘、网络、温度、GPU、电池和功耗，附带健康分，mo status --json 可以给脚本输出一份快照。

Clearer clean output: Rows for large folders now say what they hold, such as "4 simulators" or "8 builds, May to Aug", with the name linked to the folder instead of a command to copy; empty rows are gone, waits show a spinner, the first line of a dry run appears in 0.22s instead of 2.31s, and the result reads "Removed: X · N items".
2. Browser and Adobe caches kept while in use: Chrome and Brave caches wait until the browser quits, and Adobe's media cache waits while Premiere Pro, After Effects or another Adobe video app runs.
3. Downloaded models and running AI sessions are safe: mo clean no longer treats llama.cpp's downloaded models as a cache, and keeps an older Claude Code, cursor-agent or Copilot release while a session still runs on it.
4. Mail attachments you edited stay: Only attachment copies nobody touched after Mail saved them are cleaned, instead of everything older than 30 days.
5. Spotlight keeps your switches: mo optimize no longer turns Show Related Content back on.
6. Faster start on a crowded temp folder: Mole lists the system temp folder once a day, so mo --version took 0.15s instead of 1.89s on one Mac.
7. Progress for a large Trash: Emptying the Trash shows a count like 1200/16919 instead of a spinner that looks stuck.
8. More caches covered: The Yarn Berry global cache and BrowserOS caches are cleaned, and owner commands such as npm cache and pnpm store prune show the space they actually freed.
9. Honest uninstall summary: Moving an app to the Trash no longer says the space was freed, and the Docker hint points to docker system df -v for per-volume sizes.

7. 大废纸篓有进度：清空废纸篓时显示「1200/16919」这样的计数，不再像卡住了。
8. 覆盖更多缓存：会清理 Yarn Berry 全局缓存和 BrowserOS 缓存，npm cache、pnpm store prune 这类工具自己的清理命令也会显示实际清理出的空间。
9. 卸载结果说法更准：应用移到废纸篓时不再说空间已释放，Docker 提示改为 docker system df -v，能看到每个卷的大小。

1. Mole starts where Windows PowerShell is blocked: If a policy stops powershell.exe from launching, mo now falls back to PowerShell 7 (pwsh).
2. mo update stops reinstalling when nothing changed: An up-to-date install no longer downloads the analyze and status tools again or rewrites its launchers on every run.
3. Clearer clean output: Dry-run rows are marked with an empty circle, rows that measured 0B are hidden, owner commands such as npm, pnpm and Go show the space they actually freed, and a real run ends with "Removed: X | Items: N".
4. Safer cache cleanup: The Bun cache is cleared with bun pm cache rm only while Bun is idle, caches reached through a folder junction are kept, both editor cleanup entries are guarded, and each file is checked again right before removal.
5. Store apps kept when their manifest cannot be read: Uninstall no longer removes a Store package whose manifest is unreadable, since Mole cannot tell whether a desktop app still depends on it.

4. 缓存清理更稳妥：Bun 缓存只在 Bun 空闲时用 bun pm cache rm 清理，经由目录联接访问到的缓存会保留，编辑器的两处清理入口都加了保护，每个文件删除前还会再核对一次。
5. 读不出清单的商店应用会保留：卸载时不再删除清单无法读取的商店应用包，因为 Mole 无法确认是否还有桌面应用依赖它。
