Cute little sad looking me :)

Dear Diary…

What a year these last two weeks have been.

I feel like I’ve aged ten years, to be honest. I look in the mirror, and the woman staring back at me is unrecognizable. It’s exhausting. No one warned me about any of this.

Or maybe they tried, and I ignored them.

I’ve been dealing with some pretty complicated and serious health issues lately that have got me wondering — how much longer can I live alone? I never saw this coming.

For the first time since I hit this decade of life, I’m concerned for my future. At 64, I have a lot of questions. Sadly, no one has any answers.

My blood pressure went up way higher than I would like it to about two weeks ago. High enough that I took myself to see a doctor for help. One day, I feel perfectly fine; the next day I’m lying on a hospital bed praying that I’ll be ok.

I’m now on BP medication. I hate that.

So much for being strong and healthy in my 60s.

Then a week later, I hurt my back doing yoga. So bad that for a week after, I could barely walk, move or sleep. That also happened to be the week my son was visiting for my birthday.
