Hello Math
Hi everyone! My videos on YouTube are usually just informational, but this time, I want to share the journey with you.
- How to study math?
First and foremost, drop your biases and all negative thoughts. Just let go of any bad things from your past. Approach today as if you're starting everything fresh. Getting yourself psychologically ready for math and other things you think are tough is the single most important step.
1. We invented the word 'hard':
If you look at something as "hard"—and you don't happen to like a challenge—you probably won't be able to do it anyway. First, let’s forget about the whole concept of difficulty. That perception is gone now, and it’s not coming back. Because we chose that word for it; we labeled it that way. In reality, it was just waiting to be understood. And understanding requires approaching things without prejudice. From this moment on, do not call anything involving mathematics "hard." You will do this to manage your brain's perception and open up your mind.
2. Writing shouldn't be a problem:
Math is something you learn by writing. You also need to overcome your struggles with writing.
You must improve yourself in careful reading and writing. Numbers, mathematical symbols, parentheses… Keep writing until your hand gets used to it. Until you can write without hesitation… There is no fixed number. Whatever number is sufficient for you, that is your right number.
3. Improving focus:
Attention is something that develops with practice. The more you walk, the more your leg muscles get used to walking. Your brain works the same way. As you practice, your attention span will increase.
You might misread or misunderstand the questions at first, or lose focus while solving them. This is not a problem.
It is simply an indicator that the relevant part of your brain needs to be exercised and developed. Being careless is not a reason to blame yourself, nor should it be. As you train your brain, things will change.
4. What is the practical use of mathematics for us?

If I could, I would literally erase this question from existence. ☺️ Because even 'it’ll boost your brainpower' is already enough of an answer for me...
Mathematics is actually everywhere, at every moment. It just doesn’t take a selfie and share it saying, 'Here I am.' Instead, it works quietly in the background. All of nature and life is built upon mathematics.
5. Our math teacher wasn't good either:
The teacher is everything, but sometimes luck just isn't on our side. There's nothing to be done. Some people's voice disturbs you, others' silence...
Teachers, schools, and desks will all come and go… When you're walking down the street and hit an obstacle, do you say, 'I couldn't go home because of that obstacle, so I'm sleeping on the street tonight'? No, you find another way, get home, and completely forget about the obstacle… Because you’ve been home countless times, and getting there is 'no big deal'.
Mathematics, too, will only get to this point to the extent that you work on it. Because you walk constantly, walking doesn't feel difficult to you. Yet, you learned it as a baby by falling and getting back up. In mathematics, too, you will misread, make mistakes, miswrite, and sometimes fail to think. But in the end, you will do it right and move on to the next.
6. Doing it right:
Lectures, examples, questions. Read, write. Read again, write again.
After a while, if you don't have zero talent, you will begin to understand.
Once you understand, when it comes to solving questions, if you don't understand the question itself, write it down until you do.
The more prejudice that has accumulated, the harder things may be at first. The goal here is to break the brain's resistance. After a certain point, it breaks, don't worry. You can overcome anything with your willpower.
The End:
You are tired, you can't do it anymore:
Alright, it's time to stop. We also stop when we get tired of walking. There's no problem with that either. As you keep working, your working endurance will naturally increase anyway.
