Sometimes a relationship doesn't end with a dramatic breakup. Sometimes it slowly disappears while both people are still together.

One of the hardest things to accept in a relationship is that someone can still be physically present while emotionally checking out.

They still sleep beside you.

They still answer your messages.

They still say, "I'm fine."

They may even tell you they love you.

But something feels different.

The conversations become shorter. The affection feels forced. Spending time together feels like an obligation rather than something they genuinely enjoy.

And because there hasn't been a dramatic breakup, you may convince yourself that everything is normal.

But sometimes the relationship is being maintained by effort alone.

This doesn't automatically mean your partner has stopped loving you. People go through stressful periods, emotional exhaustion, family problems, financial pressure, and personal struggles that can temporarily affect how they behave in a relationship.
