How to Integrate Extent Reports in UI Path Studio?
No testing activity is complete without a detailed test report. This report visually represents the tests performed on a product, and their corresponding results, and is shared among project stakeholders.
Given the importance of the test report, there was a need for an automated activity in UiPath that could generate quality reports in tandem with test execution. This need is addressed perfectly by ReporterForUiPath. Activities Package — an activity suite with many features that enable the creation of beautiful test reports simultaneously with test execution.
If you face issue during installation of ReporterForUiPath. Activities packages follow below steps
- Download reporterforuipath.activities.2.0.0.nuget and sharpavi.2.2.1.nuget
- Copy and Paste above downloaded packages into C:\Program Files\UiPath\Studio\Packages

- Create Report : This activities used to cerate extent report with.html format in the given path
- Log Message : Write info message in the html report
- Send Email Status(SMTP) : Send email to list of precipitants
- Start Recording : Start video record the action performed by UiPath on AUT
- Start Suite : Update suite name in the html report
- Start Test : Update test case name in the report
- Step Status : write expected and actual step in the html report
- Stop Recording : Stop video record the action performed by UiPath on AUT
How to implement in Test case :
Pre-requisite : Install ReporterForUiPath. Activities package from manage package into your project

Create a sequence with name “InitializeReport“, Refer “Create New Sequence“ module to create sequence.
Drag and drop below activities and fill the details as per your project details.
- Create Report
- Start Suite
- Start Test
Note : All field value has been had coded, you can parameterize using variable and arguments, to do refer variable and arguments module.
Invoke/call “InitializeReport.xaml“ sequence in the test case “TestCase_Sample“
Drag and drop step status activities wherever required in your actual flow as like below to the write step in the html report.
Note : by default step status activities report pass and capture screenshot, if you want to fail stepand not to take screenshot. Modify below properties.
Go to Design Menu → Debug File → Run File
After successful test case execution apart from default report an extent report generated with timestamp on path you have specified.
There are two folders has been created Recording and screenshots along with one html report.
Open .html report file and validate steps
