People need not fear the unknown if they are capable of achieving what they need and want.

I used to think I didn't need to be rich in life. I believed that being rich brought too much attention, more friends, mostly fake ones, and more enemies.

I thought that if I could go to university, gain some experience, get a job that paid well enough to cover my rent, feeding, clothing, and other basic needs, I would be satisfied. I didn't need much, or at least, that's what I thought.

But as I grow older, I find myself developing ambitions I never thought I would have.

I started wanting more. Not just more money, but more freedom, more opportunities, and the ability to make decisions without having to worry so much about what I could afford.

I began to understand that there is a difference between being content with what you have and convincing yourself that you don't need more because you're afraid of what comes with it.

Perhaps my old way of thinking was not entirely wrong. Wealth can attract the wrong people, unwanted attention, and problems that money alone cannot solve. But avoiding success because of what might come with it is another kind of fear.

And that brings me to a question I keep asking myself:

What if the life I once considered enough is no longer enough for the person I am becoming?

Maybe the real fear of the unknown is not just the fear of failing at something new. Maybe it's also the fear of discovering that we are capable of much more than we ever imagined.
