Roofied Again

Seriously, who’s doping my dairy?

The morning, like most all my mornings, asserted itself earlier than might be favored. I am accustomed to such. Back pocketing ideas for how to use these waking hours so to not succumb to the anxiety my present circumstances regularly provoke helps. Two solid subject matters were ripe for a fresh Medium story. Neither got written.

I enjoyed morning ritual of hot beverage and grub, plus a rare treat of a big glass of milk. I had been somewhat suspicious of the milk, even as I had just bought it. I drank a quantity when I had not eaten or drank anything else for a bit. Yes, my theory that it’d been laced was accurate. Probably with cannabis extract. I do not like getting tricked, yet this is not the worst that could happen. Yet, when I went to write….nothing. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll enjoy cannabis, yet almost always via the lungs, which often aid in creativity. Though not often at dawn. This was creativity killing cannabis, though. Note how poorly constructed as this very paragraph is, and that’s just from the stoneover from ingesting 12 plus hours back.

I had a back-up plan. I am required to complete 80 hours of continuing professional education (“CPE”) each licensing period for a credential I hold. Perfect. These I can do stoned off my gourd and requires no creativity. I chose a topic I was familiar with and was off to the races. Five hours later I had six hours of CPE. That’s the beauty of 50 minute hours.
