Rope Survey
Rope Podcast (an amazing podcast done by a couple in thailand) put up this rope survey that everyone is doing. I thought I would post my answers here, minus the two about pictures (if you want to see those, you have to be on fetlife.)
1. What was your first rope experience?
It came with my first scene experience- I was bound to a chair and then was flogged. I had no business being there, hadn’t done my research, and completely panicked.
2. Hemp, jute, nylon, other?
Most of them it’s jute, which I used to absolutely hate. Now we rarely use nylon.
3. Weirdest rope experience?
I don’t know that I would classify any of my rope experiences as “weird” mostly because I’m interested in such a wide variety of activities very little hits my weird radar. I’ve had some that have made me uncomfortable- pieces where I was hyper aware of my body in a negative way instead of being able to drift in rope space.
4. Favorite tie?
I really like waist/hip rope and futos. They are both super releasing, comforting, and have an edge of suffering that sparks something for me.
5. Sexual or non sexual rope? Why/ when?
Non sexual rope. Almost all of the time. I like the beautiful escape that rope offers me and involving sexual rope tends to bring me out of that.
6. Favourite suspension orientation (eg face up, face down, inversion, vertical etc)?
