Chrisman Studios-Charleston Family Portraits
One of the things we LOVE to do is photograph families while they’re on vacation in Charleston.
As a busy family ourselves, we know the effort that goes into gathering everyone in one place at one time, with no distractions and the desire for some serious bonding time! It’s especially challenging for families where the kids are all grown up, like the Stopperich family who were vacationing in Charleston from Pennsylvania.
Their four “kids” are strewn out all across the country in different colleges and post-college careers, so this time together was especially precious for them. They admitted it had been about a decade since their last family photos!
Their downtown Charleston family session was on a beautiful November day the week of Thanksgiving. We started in White Point Gardens (The Battery), and strolled through one of Charleston’s most beautiful neighborhoods filled with historic homes and cobblestone streets.
The Stopperich family was so much fun and had great chemistry, laughing and poking fun at each other, and just truly soaking up their time together. It was clear to see that no matter where their lives will take them individually, they’ll always make it a priority to regroup and revel in the foundation of who they are as a family.
Chrisman Studios is a collective of four photographers and one filmmaker. Our photographers are based in Charleston, San Francisco and Venice, Italy. Our filmmaker is based in Santa Fe. We travel the world for wedding and portrait commissions, but we jump at every chance to work in our own hometowns as well.
