Forget about AI slop — use this “I have ADHD” Claude skill

I don’t know whether I have ADHD. But I’m fairly sure you don’t need a diagnosis to bounce off a wall of AI-generated text.

You ask a simple question. You get ten paragraphs back. Half of it is preamble — restating your question, explaining what it’s about to explain, hedging. Somewhere in the middle is the actual answer, and now finding it is your job.

That extra step is small, but it adds up. I’d ask something, get a giant block of text, feel my attention slide sideways, and abandon the whole thing — including the idea I started with.

Then I came across a Claude plugin called I have ADHD, and it genuinely changed how I use AI chats.

The skill reshapes the output rather than the model. Same answer, different delivery: the point comes first, the multi-step stuff gets numbered, the tangents get cut. No preamble about what it’s about to tell you.

Installation

If you’re using Claude Code, two commands:

claude plugin marketplace add ayghri/i-have-adhd
claude plugin install i-have-adhd@i-have-adhd

Then restart Claude, or run /reload-plugins.

If you’re on the desktop or web app, go to Settings → Plugins → Add, add the repo as a plugin marketplace, then install the skill from there.

The plugin does not activate on its own. You have to call it explicitly:

/i-have-adhd

The before and after

I ran the same prompt both ways:

give me some ideas for my tech youtube channel

Without the skill, I got the usual: a warm-up paragraph, a long list with a full explanation attached to every item, and a closing paragraph asking whether I’d like it to expand on any of them.

With the skill on it is scannable and short.

Worth it?

If you’ve ever asked a quick question, received an essay, and quietly closed the tab — yes. It’s two commands and it fixes a friction point you’ve probably stopped noticing because you’ve been putting up with it for so long.
