WARDOGS: The 100 Player Tactical FPS Where Teamwork Pays
WARDOGS is out now in Early Access, and it brings something the shooter genre has been missing for a while. Developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17, this is a 100 player tactical FPS where three teams fight for the same piece of ground. It is not a battle royale and it is not an extraction shooter. It is all-out warfare with a twist that changes how you think about every single decision you make.
Set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe on a destructible battlefield where teamwork pays and cash is king.
Three Teams, One Zone, Nowhere to Hide
The core game mode takes inspiration from King of the Hill and scales it up to something much larger. One hundred players split into three teams and fight over a Control Zone that measures two kilometres on each side. That zone sits somewhere inside a map of 256 square kilometres, and its location changes every match. The team with the most players inside the zone earns a point, and the first team to reach 100 points wins.
Because the zone moves and every team plays differently, no two matches ever feel the same. You might spend one round defending a hillside town and the next fighting through an open valley with two enemy teams closing in from opposite directions. Three-way combat also changes the maths. Attacking one enemy often leaves you open to the other, so timing matters as much as aim.
Cash Is King, and Every Action Pays
Here is what makes WARDOGS stand apart. Every player begins with $10,000. Each time you spawn, you buy your own loadout from a wide selection of weapons, gear, utility items, and vehicles. What you carry into the fight is entirely your choice, and so is how much you are willing to spend on it.
You earn cash by helping your team. Reviving a squadmate pays. Driving teammates to the Control Zone pays. Holding the objective pays. The game does not simply ask you to work together, it puts money behind the request. Your balance carries over from one match to the next, so a big purchase at the right moment can swing an entire round and pay you back several times over.
Play It Your Way
WARDOGS does not tell you how to win. You could chase the Hot Zone and earn double cash for the risk. You could buy a ghillie suit and pick off targets from a ridge line. You could load a helicopter with supplies and keep your team stocked from the air. You could build a forward operating base at a key chokepoint and hold it. Or you could climb into an artillery tank and reshape the map one building at a time.

The world reacts to what you do. Rocket launchers bring down structures, armoured vehicles tear through town centres, and the cover you relied on five minutes ago might not be there anymore. That destruction runs both ways, which means good teams learn to rebuild and reposition as fast as they destroy.
What Early Access Means Here
WARDOGS launches into Early Access, and BULKHEAD has been open about what that involves. The current build is fully playable and delivers the complete core experience: 100 player three-team matches, large maps with dynamic objectives, the cash and XP progression system, realistic gunplay, vehicles and logistics, and proximity voice chat.
The studio expects to spend one to two years in Early Access, using that time to add maps, weapons, vehicles, and deeper progression systems. Fighter jets and expanded weapon categories are part of the plan.

WARDOGS is available today in two editions. The Standard Edition gives you the full Early Access game. The Supporter Edition includes everything in Standard along with the WARDOGS Supporter Pack. Both are available right now on Gamesporium.
