14 Things You Might Not Have Known AboutAbout Russell Crowe
He’s been an action hero and much more.
Russell is perhaps best known for his role as Maximus in Gladiator. In addition, he had notable roles in LA Confidential, The Quick and the Dead, and 3:10 to Yuma. Crowe has also been active musically, though I don’t know much about that.
For a period in his career Crowe received bad publicity based on several altercations he had been involved in. He also got involved romantically with Meg Ryan while they were shooting Proof of Life. At the time, Meg was married to Dennis Quaid. Ryan seemed to have absorbed most of the career damage from the affair. So, on to some things you didn’t know about Russell Crowe.
1: Crowe began his career by starring in Romper Stomper.
He played the leader of a gang of neo‑Nazi skinheads. And, based on the synopsis of the story, it’s the feel‑good movie you would expect.
2: He is a direct descendant of Simon Fraser.
So, who’s that? He was the last man to be beheaded in Britain. Sounds like he fought the law, and the law won.
