I admire those that work to create new product and business ideas, and then build those into business using their own effort and/or with the help of AI.

I do not admire those who simply clone existing businesses with no (relatively speaking) effort of their own. I think it is morally wrong. I willy happily pay for a quality product like IntelliJ, over using a free product which is a ripoff of the real thing.

I see little difference between using a AI-cloned product and simply stealing a license to use the real product.

You might think this doesn't affect you, but at some point this will come for us all.

I think it’s morally wrong for Jetbrains to charge customers while begging those same customers for logs, MVP’s and their first born every time an issue is submitted to Youtrack.
